  1. Nothing

  2. I live in a converted school bus. I added a second, coolant heated fuel system and run it on free waste veg oil. 8 solar panels on the roof keep 8 deepcycle golf cart batteries charged, including inverter power for 115V AC 1500 Watts, enough for sat. TV, microwave, toaster and power tools, battery chargers. Sound, light ventilaton and water pump are 12V DC and right now it is about 36 deg outside and the wood stove is keeping the bus warm. Live is a camping trip. the only thing that changes is the scenery and the neighbors. In one way or another this has been going on for 34 out of 55 years and is not subject to change any time soon. The solar electric is zero carbon, the heat and engine fuel/veg oil are carbon neutral, excluding what has been used during harvest, transport etc. I also try to use only products that themselves have a lower carbon foot print such as locally grown produce etc. all the laundry is washed cold and I use the clothes line whenever possible. This is obviously not for every one, but there are a lot of things just about any one can do. Fluorescent lights, lowering/raising the thermostat, shorter showers, car pooling, public transport, buying locally produced/grown goods (less carbon used in transport), solar water and electric (not every body can, renter/home owner) Check with your utility if green energy is available, some places in the country have energy co-ops where some offer green energy but it unfortunately costs a little more, and changes in laundry practices. Of course one thing eveybody needs to do is recycle.

  3. Ride your bike to work.  Also if you grow your own food with no chemical pesticides you are good to go.  Killing two birds with one stone.  The chemicals can be incompatible with life and the fleet of trucks it takes to get to the store.  Also if you have one of the old fashioned push mower you should use that to cut your grass.  Also if you have a very big lot that you can't use because it is protected forest territory try to make it a little bigger by planting trees.  Also if you want a fence plant a line of shrubs there.  Just right to keep the dirty neighbors yard out of sight.  Not quite good enough for a dog.  Those are my suggestions on how to live a greener life.

  4. I'm a childfree vegan, I recycle as much as possible, and I have never owned a car.  I use public transit to get to work.

  5. I live in an abandoned cave and eat bat droppings and stray dogs.  Instead of owning a car, I ask random people for piggyback rides.  I store my bodily generated methane in a bored-out log and use it to heat my cave

  6. *Recycle anything I can. I'm lucky as I live in a town that recycles almost all plastic.

*Participate in freecycle.org - giving away my unwated items instead of throwing them away

*Combine errands to run the car less

    *Work closer to home

    *Burn wood instead of oil

    *Turn the lights off

*Buy earth friendly cleaners from the first company in the world to obtain Climate Neutral certification and totally offset its C02 emissions, resulting in a net zero impact on the environment. And I don't drive to the store to buy them.

  7. gave up ATVs, dirt bikes, and snowmobiles. Now I only ride a horse

  8. I'll be honest with you.  I rarely give my carbon footprint a second thought.  You could fit three of my houses into Al Gore's, I have never flown on a private jet, and I don't travel with an entourage of SUV's.

  9. I am a vegetarian; meat is the number one cause of global warming.
