What do you think of Ryan Newman? Be honest.

I think he is the most underrated driver out there. If you put him in half-decent equiptment, watch out.

NEWMAN!!! hehe I love Newman, he's funny and I can't wait for next year because I felt he was held back in the Penske equipment, so I can't wait to see how he does at a new team!

He proved he can win in good equipment.  8 wins in 2003.  He was the darling of Nascar just 3-5 years ago.  I dont see a championship in his future but certainly some wins will come.

The Rocketman is alright in my book.  I do have a nice little story for you that I had seen quite a few years back when he was on MTV Cribs.  Seems Ryan's dad Greg, always wanted to race so when he was 9 years old his dad built him one of those quarter midget cars.  Greg Newman and his dad took it out for a test spin and hit a light post which landed them both in the hospital.  Greg Newman's mom said that's it, racing is over and the car is going.  Greg Newman went on with his life never to try racing again.

Well seem Ryan's Grandma never did throw that old quarter midget away, she just put it away.  After Ryan graduated from College his Grandmother called him up to tell him she just found that old car.  Ryan told her not to say a word, he went and picked it up restored it back to it's original quarter midget status complete with a shiny new paint job.  

Ryan gave it back to his father after winning his very 1st NASCAR race.  

Ryan of course was begining his career and money and fame soon followed, he always loved cars.  After he started collecting old cars and restoring them to keep for himself.  

Greg Newman showed up a few years latter to give his son back that old quarter midget.  Mr. Newman told Ryan "You are my Hero" &  wanted ryan to have the car back to always remember the important things in life.

Ryan showed off the car still hanging on the wall in his show-garage today, very proudly I may add.

Has the experience and drive to be one of the best but last couple years  his team has not maintained the car or the mentality to keep in in winners circle  He is due for a change hopefully to a more professional dedicated to winning

Respectable Driver. Very clean Racer and does his job well. They don't call him Rocketman for nothing. The Guy knows how to deliver a pole position. Great Driver.

He's a good driver that's maybe been a little overhyped during his career.  He definitely knows how to go fast but closing the deal has been a problem for him.  I personally like him and think he would have done better without all the DNFs he has had at Penske.  We will see what he can do with Hendrick horsepower (I think)  and reliability.

I have always liked Ryan. He gets a lot of respect from me. The things that come to mind are all the Poles he has won and winning the Daytona 500 this year. Give him the good equipment and better luck and he will win races. I would luv to see him go with Smoke but time will tell.

Off the track he and his wife do so much for animals and other charities, not to mention the fact that he truly is a nice guy.  =o`)

I like Ryan, you know a while ago I wasn't sure how I felt about him but he really is a good guy and a good driver! And now I'm happy to say that I really do like him and hope he does well with his move next year where ever he may go!!

I wish that he would announce his plans for next season.  This guessing all the time is stressful.  LOL  I need to see facts!!!

Heck of a qualifier...just too bad it usually ends there.  Seems like a great guy, genuine personality.  He has the HOTTEST wife of all of Nascar.  Maybe if/when he gets in a Chevy, I'll have more incentive to cheer for him.
