What are you're plans for after High school

Question

I know most people don't plan it out, so even if it's unrealistic or just random, please share.

Here are mine:

Take a gap year off after high school and travel around Africa with my best friend to help at different organizations and charities and also take lots of photos to start my portfolio. And then, (hopefully if I'm accepted) I want to study Photography at the Tisch School of Arts and Journalism at NYU. Hopefully after college I will become a Photo Journalist for a famous magazine like National Geographic!

Not likely I know, but it's a dream!

I want to get a scholarship to Rinehardt or Berry College. i want to major in literature and minor in music(piano). I will see if I can get any books published and while I try to I will be a journalist, = )

i will get a bachelors in history with credits in economy and social science/political science and the go to law school

after or during that i will get  minors  in music cooking and computing

I'm just going into 8th grade, so I have lots of time to think. I used to want to go to FIDM or FIT, but that was when I wanted to be a fashion designer, and I don't want to do that anymore. I've been finding out about more colleges, and there is so many you can go to, and I have a long time to think. I probably want to get a degree in Business of some sort. That, or communications or English. Something I'm good at! For a bit, I wanted to be a doctor, but I don't want to do that anymore. Right now, I don't have a set ambition, and it's not like I have to - I'm just a kid, but I've always been fascinated with the whole college thing. Ever since I was really little. I can't wait to go.

I want to go to collage at the University of Florida, then become a nurse.

If being a nurse doesnt work out, i want to open a vet shop with my best friend =]

And i want to get married eventually and have kids, or adopt.

Well right now i plan to go to Puerto Rico, move into an apartment with my best friend and go to the college I planned to go before I moved here. I know that isn't very likely but it's a dream! hehe =)

That's a great dream! I think it's plenty likely if you work hard.

I am just now going into high school. But after high school, I want to be a Special Ed teacher, work with learning/physically disabled kids. I also want to be a writer and artist. Right now I'm learning sign language and plan to learn braille so I can work with blind and deaf kids too.

Like you I would love to go to Africa but to teach kids, not to start organizations.

Thanks for sharing your dream with us. It's very uplifting to see someone with such hope for the future. Even at my age a lot of people I know have given up. Don't give up and you can achieve whatever you want. :)

Go to Purdue University and major in Biology or Pre-Med. Go to med school (idk where yet) and become a OB/GYN. Work for a few years and then, maybe, get married.

no why woudl you say its not likely its as likely as you want it to be so if thats ur dream go for it everybody has wild dreams and the people who case there dreams you will see are the happest and even if they don't succeed at least they treid rather then the people who do nothing and for the rest of there life will be wonderin what if? i want to go to an hbcu (historical black college) study phycology open my own practice while traveling to africa every summer during missionary then after i retire from my job i want to teach singing lessons to kids and write a book some day! these are my dreams and hopes and i will make these happen so u should do the same for you!no matter wat anyone tells you!if you believe it you can acheive it!

I just graduated and I'll be attending college in the fall. I'm a nursing major. After i graduate from college I plan to work two years then go back and get my masters so i can become a nurse practitioner. I want to do work overseas especially in Africa. Eventually I would like to open up a teen maternity home in Africa and one in Latin America

Oh cool! I want to go to college after highschool, but i also want to become a photographer. I really dont know how people go about doing that thou xD your idea sounds sweet i wana go to africa! lol

I want to go to a really prestigious school like Yale or Harvard. Really, who doesn't. My dream is to become a vet, I always have wanted to but as I get older my life and skills begin to unfold on my like an onion, you think it's a certain way but there are so many more layers to me then I could have ever imagined ( weird anology I know. )  I have discovered I am a really great actress and I think that is a great lifelong pursuit. I just love musical theatre- when I'm acting, singing and dancing up on that stage I just feel like I'm in my element. I also love to write. So maybe I'll be an actress who is a part time veternarian and writes books? I don't know. I think it'll become clearer as life goes on what my passions are and what I should do in pursuit of my dreams.

It's kind of a ways out. I'm only in 8th grade now... I still have a lot of time to think about it.

Right after High School?

University of Adelaide or Flinders University to study Medicine.

I come from Africa, born, bred and lived there for 12 years so it's not as big of an adventure. I am going to Europe soon, and I live in Australia. Asia is probably where I'd go on my next vacation but I'd love a honeymoon on one of the island, e.g. Hawaii, Bahamas, etc.

Oh, and I need to visit New Zealand right next to us.

I plan to be a fantastic doctor but I haven't decided on a specialty.

Hopefully I'll be accepted into Juilliard...but that's all I got so far :)
