What are you allowed to bring on a plane ? This is my first time going on one.?

Am I allowed to bring hair straightener , perfume , razorr , hairspray , or gel ?

yes to all the above but only if there packed in your suitcase

there are very strict guides now regarding what can be carried onto a plan due to Sept 11th

you need to check your airline for details as to what you can bring on as part of your hand luggage

No sharp objects, leave the pocketknives, nail files at home.   Also you cannot bring anything in a bottle, unless its a small travel bottle that can be put into a small ziplock bag.  Your better off checking the luggage that holds all such belongings and just bringing a small carry on bag for yourself.

You can only take cosmetic items in bottles of three ounces or less. The must be gathered in a clear, plastic quart-sized zip-lock bag. You are only allowed to have one quart-sized zipper bag.

Essential items are not limited, but nothing you list is considered "essential."

You can bring a safety razor. You cannot bring razor blades onto a plane.

FYI, you have to take off your shoes when you go through security. It's a real pain if you wear boots or shoes with complicated buckles, straps or laces.
