What are you covered for in an act of god?

i was trying to rent a car and the bloke said to me "you're not covered for act of god." i said "did you say acts of GOD and not acts of GODS, or spirits, or nips. but God a capital God a simple religion, may by a judeo religion, which would imply a belief system which would perhaps lead to free will and determinism. so logical anything man does directly or indirectly is in fact an act of god. so I'm not covered for anything. define an act of god." he said " i don't... rain." and i said "yeah, but how much rain! its drizzling a bit now, is that an act of god? what point does rain reach to a certain level beyond which it takes a more apocalyptic mantel of a water based punishment of the lord?" he didnt say anything and i left. so what am i covered for under act of god?

if an earthquake, flood, hurricane, lightning, or a tornado were to damage the car.
