  1. If you don't have a walker, I'll do the cooling down of horses.  Otherwise I'm cleaning out the garden produce, not as much fun.

  2. I'd be happy to help as long as you don't have any white cows., My TWH freaks out at the sight of one. he's OK with any of the other colors.

  3. Do I like the out of doors? Darl'n, I was NEVER meant to live under a roof.

This weekend: a bit of fluff; a get together in Malibu to play pirate.

Re back surgery: I have two immediate friends that have had back surgery, I hope your's is as successful as their's was.

  4. Hard work fascinates me. I could watch all day! Hope you have a lot of fun.

Your story is all too familiar to me. I also love the outdoors stayed active until I could no longer stand up then had back surgery and went after it again but it caught up to me. I still like the outdoors but I have resigned myself to relaxing for the first time.

Give yourself plenty of time to heal and slow down a bit and stay active as long as you can.

  5. Sure I will help, probably not with the roping, but I prefer the outdoors...

an afternoon swim sure would be nice!! and maybe a pot luck!

  6. Hi!

On Saturday - that is tomorrow - I am going to the swimming pool with my mother all day and we will surely have a lot of fun like a couple of days ago.

On Sunday - Maybe to the pool again, maybe a huge lunch at home, we haven't decided yet.

    Have a nice weekend!

  7. Tomorrow morning, I'm joining my Patriot Guard Riders brothers and sisters in honoring a US Navy Chief.  He passed away this week, and we have been invited to stand in honor of him at the viewing and then escort his body and his family/friends to the cemetery.

If you've never seen a PGR funeral escort, go to the below link at YOUTUBE.  You can check out the other video clips while there.

To find out WHY we exist, do a YOUTUBE.com search for WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH.

Last time I posted something like this, I got a Violation Notice for 'SOLICITING.'  hahahaha

  8. I'm still recuperating from surgery, so I don't think I would be able to help you. I'm doing my own lassoing here with my grabber we purchased, to use whenever I drop things since I am not allowed to bend over. Hey, maybe I'll get good enough I can rope as well! My weekend will consist of continuation of my therapy, and probably watching my husband in the pool. It's off limits to me for now. :( Also watching the news concerning the election. I love the outdoors, and by next Spring I hope to be involved in quite a bit outdoor activity. I love walking and enjoying our pool.

Added note: I'm doing really good here, everything is going fine, all takes time, and time I have. I'm fortunate and blessed in many ways!

  9. prefer the great outdoors, but this week end it will still be raining here. The tropical storm in north Florida is still bringing rain down here.I've been watching my mulch float away for a few days now !

  10. Your weekend sounds a lot more interesting than mine. I'll be helping my husband repair plumbing in the basement. This Old House and I seem a lot alike--every week there is some new evidence of deterioration!  I do prefer being inside though, but I was thinking more along the lines of curling up with a book and a cat.

  11. I I am indoors kind of person. We too have horses and we have chickens and dogs and cats! We want Pygmy goats too. I don't ride since I fell off one of the horse's and injured my pride, not to mention my back side, at 63 that was a hard fall.   Poppy

  12. I'm off to the flea markets this weekend...maybe I'll find some horse-related objects.

  13. Your weekend is a lot more strenuous than mine. I've got plans to go to an International Festival and a huge book sale that our YMCA has once a year. Then I'll probably end up eating samples of all the good stuff that I bring back from the festival while reading one of my "new" books. That night I'm keeping my daughters little ones overnight so I'll be into toddler wrangling.

  14. i will help you i love horses i used to ride all the time lol :)

  15. oh yes!  i so miss the farm life.  i just recently sold my place out in the country because i could no longer take care of everything.  i have been on my own for almost 20 years and although i have never roped a steer, i have milked (by hand) and horses were my easy chairs.

  16. I'd help, but I am too busy wrangling and roping all the backstabbing trolls and liberal agendas here on Y!A
