Bascially, I am trying to raise awareness in my local area, and Im wondering if anyone is doing the same?, if so what are you doing as I need some ideas? I want to motivate people in my area, I feel I MUST do sometihing, I cant sit back!

I am writing to local Mps, I am also writing to local schools and shops to ask them what they are doing and giving them sugesstions. I am also making leaflets to leave at my local community centre, with a few tips and hints. I am writing letters to the goverment, suggesting and asking why aresol cans havent been banned. I am also suggesting that people get fined if they dont recycle (leave their boxes outside on collect day) as there are no excuse. I am seen a num of people on my street who dont recycle their rubbish. If anyone would like 2 chat further mail me.Can you write letters to your local Mp's etc, because every little counts.

If you think cimate change is rubbish then dont bother replying!

    POSITIVE ACTIONS

reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.

the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.

the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia

  2. I recycle, I use flouroecent bulbs all over my house, I have a solar water heater for my hot water, and i drive a hybrid car.

  3. I am doing a number of things to help reduce global warming:

    1) Educating myself, my children and extended family about how to  reduce energy usage by reading articles, watching shows and attending meetings on the subject;

    2)  Walk or ride my bike to stores that are within 5 miles of my house--kids come too

    3)  Hang laundry out to dry instead of using dryer

    4)  Recycle anything and everything possible

    5)  Plant trees ordered from the Department of Conservation yearly

    6)  Installed a programmable thermostat and set it to come on less in hot/cold weather

    7)  Grow some of my own vegetalbles (less emissions to transport my food from grower to store to me)

    8)  Carpool with other people when possible

    9)  I use a human-powered reel mower instead of a gas powered

    10)  I buy resale clothing for the family/myself when possible and also used furniture

    11)  I keep the lights/appliances in the house off when not in use and utilize compact fluorescent lightbulbs

  4. Since its OK to merely "create awareness" instead of, like, giving up clothes dryers or cell phones that actually reduce CO2 emissions at the power plants, I just put a FIGHT GLOBAL WARMING bumper sticker on my Lincoln Navigator and go on as before.

  5. Hey I want to join in on the action. What are you writing to companies, stores, and the government it takes more than one person you know. Maybe you can give me some ideas so I can raise awarness in my community too. I joined GREENPEACE but they dont do much where I live. Where do you live?

I truly feel that not enough people care about global warming. A lot of people say oh its just nature doing its thing or they say its just politics, but its not its MAN causing global warming. Why cant people see that?

  6. I am using an old fashioned push mower (no engine) to mow my yard (and it is a large yard).  No fossil fuel, no air pollution and no noise pollution.  Also  it gives me a great workout so I save gas not going to a gym to work out.  And a natural tan-no trips to tanning salons!  I also recycle my household rubbish.  If everyone quit using power mowers, weed eaters etc. it would help the environment, noise pollution and ease the air for those of us with allergies.  Radical thought I know-get up and use your own sweat and muscle to do some yard work! :-)  Takes a bit longer but is worth it!

  7. I'm vegan!  And my wife and daughter are vegetarian.  One of the best ways you can help with global warming, pollution, health problems, animal cruelty, and starvation is to stop using animal products.  For more information, go to my MySpace blog.  If you go, I'd suggest reading the blogs in numerical order.

Thank you very much for caring enough to be part of the solution instead of the problem!  If you keep it up, you CAN make a difference!

    Take care,

    Csam
