  1. I put mayo in the tuna, and i either put relish or onions in mine to give it a crunch.

Whats also very nice is putting your tuna with whatever you like in it, spreading on one or two pieces of bread without putting them together, put some sliced cheese on it, and cook it in the oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bottom is crispy!

    It's delicious !

  2. Never had a caper, the first way is my fav way with relish. Season with garlic and onion powder. YUMMY

  3. One of the best ways I have found to spice up and get a variety of flavors for tuna is to use a salad dressing instead of mayonnaise. I go for a creamy caesar and just discovered a delicious chipotle cheddar dressing if you are in the mood for something spicy. Add onions and celery and you are good to go.

  4. hey(:

i loveeeee tuna fish sandwiches too!

i had some the other day.

well anyways, here are my ingredients:

    one can of tuna fish

some mayo (i dont measure it. i eye-ball it)

    salt

    pepper

    lemon juice

    green onions (or chives)

    i think its really good.

then i just slap it onto some bread & enjoy my creation!

    haha

sometimes i also have tuna salad, if you want to

eat that...all you have to get is:

    cans of tuna fish

pasta (shells, bowties, elbows, NOT SPAGHETTI)

    sweet corn (from a can)

    salt pepper.

    mayo.

then i just mix it all in one bowl

& eat it. its really good too.

    enjoyy!

  5. Fresh Tuna Salad Sandwich Recipe

4 (3/4 inch) thick Fresh albacore tuna steaks (about 10 to 12 ounces)

    1 cup mayonnaise

    1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

    2 tablespoons sweet relish

    1 sweet onion, finely diced

    2 celery ribs, finely diced

    Bunch dill, snipped

    Bunch chives, chopped

    Salt and pepper

    Potato bread hamburger rolls

    Bottled sweet pickles

    Potato chips

Poach tuna in salted water for 3 to 4 minutes until cooked through. Flake and pull apart. Combine with mayonnaise, mustard, relish, onion and celery, herbs, salt and pepper. Spoon on rolls. Top with some sliced sweet pickles and potato chips.

  6. I use mayonnaise, mustard, finely diced onion, dill relish, & salt & pepper.

  7. I like it simple I choose Miracle Whip, celery, cucumbers, and onions.

  8. quick and easy.

    open can, drain.

mix with mayonnaise and spread on bread.

    really quick and easy.

    open can. drain.

    spread on crackers.

  9. You can use tuna packed in water or oil or the tuna in a package but which ever you use, here's my recipe:

    TUNA SALAD

    Tuna fish

    diced onion

    diced celery

    diced pickles (sweet or dill)

    diced hard boiled egg

mayonnaise - just enough to hold everything together

    fresh ground black pepper

    Mix all together.

The above is great as a scoop on a bed of salad fixins, also good as a grilled tuna fish sandwich (I spray or butter one side of the bread, grill it until golden, do the same to the other slice, and spray or butter the other side. Place the uncooked side down on the griddle, add a nice helping of tuna fish, and put on the top slice with the uncooked side up. When the bottom is nice and golden, flip it over and grill the other side. The heat changes the flavor of the tuna fish and makes it very nice.

My mother just puts her tuna fish on a plain slice of bread, adds the second slice, butters the outside top and places that down in a skillet to grill. Once it's browned, she butters the new top side and flips it to brown that side. The difference between the two is my mother's is crisp and then soft at the same time - mine has a little extra crunch. If you toast your bread in the toaster, you don't get the opportunity to heat the filling and it doesn't make it as nice.

  10. i often use light ranch dressing instead of mayo (i don't like mayo that much) or do half and half. i usually use celery.  once i had a really good tuna sandwich with mayo, walnuts, and halved grapes.

and then i put lettuce and sometimes tomato on wheat bread...i used to eat it with saltines and carrot sticks, though...
