  1. Put either cash or plastic in it.  Leave the tip in it after.  Big bills go on top of the smaller ones.

  2. Put your money in it or credit card, and wait for the server. They'll come back. If not, wave the server down, if you are waiting for change.

  3. Leave your cash or card in it.  Move it towards the edge of the table to signal the waiter that you are ready and he will come and do everything necessary.  Don't leave the table un-attended until he comes!

    Don't worry.

  4. in most cases you should put your cash/credit card/gift certificate in the little book and place it near the edge of the table so that the server knows you are done and ready for him to take it.

  5. usually at fancier restaurants they take the check back after you pay with cash/card/check, and return with your change and/or receipt

  6. books tend to be used when the server handles the money.  You can put the cash in it (make sure loose change is in one of the pockets of the book so it dosn't fall out) or a credit card (usually a credit card slot at the top of the book).  When you're done, put it at the end of the table for the server to pick it up.  If you leave cash and do not need change you can leave, if not, they will pick up the book and be back with it.  DO NOT forget to tip them well either...they are working their butts off.

  7. Put your cash or credit card in the "book" and leave it on the edge of the table - they will take it and return your change or bring you the receipt to sign.

Double check your card to make sure they gave you back your card.

  8. yup, leave your cash in it and wait. You want your change back right?.... then they'll hand you your customer's receipt and merchants copy were u write down your tip!

  9. Finish your meal, your conversation with whomever you are having the meal with.

you place your cash or credit card in the little folder/book/tray, and wait for the the waiter/waitress to get your change/run your credit card.

when they bring it back, sign for the credit card, do a quick scan of the reciept, you don't want to be over charged, or charged for something you didn't order...add tip and pull your copy..oh and put your card back into your wallet.

if you paid cash - leave the tip in the folder and clear out.

  10. dude grow a clue.......do you see a cashier??? is it a grocery store???? UGH

  11. all upper class restaurant the waiter will take care of the check

  12. Most people use Plastic now.  And most restaurants now don't have cashiers.  The waiter will take care of it.

  13. Usually you hand it back to them with your payment, unless otherwise noted. Next time you go into one, look at the front area and see if there is a cashier area. If not, that usually gives you the clue...
