I just picked Samardzija off of waivers today. What do you think he's chances of being fantasy worthy? Is he more of trade bait to or a keeper because he might be a closer on committee? Let me hear you thoughts and opinions. Would you want him on your fantasy team?

  1. Absolutely not. Samardzija has Carlos Marmol in front of him already, and once Kerry Wood comes back, h**l have no value at all. He doesn't even have the closer job now, he's a set-up guy.

  2. it's still too early to tell but there is alot of baseball left. i'd hang on to him & stick him in a P spot to collect Ks & keep your ERA down. when the season ends you can THEN evaluate / ask what he's worth.

  3. Is this a one-year league or an actual keeper league? Depending on your keeper stipulations, you might want to hold on to him. He'll at least be a decent reliever who should get a decent number of strikeouts. If you're only playing for this year, I don't know that I'd even bother picking him up. I don't think the trade value would be all that high.

  4. well, he was an all-american reciever, so i guess he can play baseball

  5. well he struck out 40 hitters in 37 innings in triple-A .so i would kepp him
