What are you thoughts on Global Warming?

I'll start believing in Global Warming the day that real estate futures in Manhattan and Miami Beach drop to zero. After all, if all the icebergs are going to melt, then both of these cities will be under water by the middle of this century.

  1. Global Warming is true, there are Natural fazes but we are affecting that to a great extent ,with deforestation ,desertification and pollution., especially air pollution.

A few weeks ago one of NASA's top scientists concluded that the Arctic Ocean could be nearly ice-free within five years, much faster than all previous predictions.

when the north pole is gone , you may have polar bears soon in America ,looking for a home ,

Calculations do not include the accumulative ,speeding up ,factor with time. the increase in water temperature will get faster all the time as well as the melting, when the ice is all gone the deeper cold Ocean currents will stop ,and the drag has gone with it ,also changing the higher warm currents,And only the moon will keep things moving

This will affect coastal climates ,world wide ,almost instantly. All aquatic flora and fauna will be affected, many dying off and others becoming invasive,

And recently In Chiapas ,and Tabasco in Mexico .more then a million people became homeless overnight with water coming up to their roofs ,because of rains from super evaporation from the forests, this had never happened before. Millions of animals died.

In India 3000 people died because of super storms .

.A few years ago in Europe 3500 people, died during a heat wave ,many of them in France .

Right now the average death toll annually is 150.000 due to Global warming

. these figures are already out of date and are expected to double soon.

In Northern China millions of people are running for their lives because regular dust storms so far have buried 900 villages under the sand and the whole of northern China is turning into a dessert.

The Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year all around the edges ,like a slow burning fire shriveling up their neighbors In the Kalahari huge rivers have dried up and thousand of species are gone due to their habitats disappearing .

The biggest changes are invisible at micro biotic levels species are becoming extinct ,others are multiplying ,

This affects the insect populations that follow ,and changes in that ,affect all that follows in the food chains ,

All life is interrelated of both flora and fauna, And since we are on the top of the food chain ,

we are always the last to know.

So Global warming has its toll there are incidents all over the world ,

    However

confusion rules the day ,i am beginning to think that SCIENCE HAS BEEN INVADED WITH POLITICS AND HUMAN EMOTIONS

The truth is being distorted at high levels,

And lies have been weaved in.

Some of the real dangers are being hidden because there are no solutions , Public could panic.and Authorities would loose control .

Besides Corporations have other priorities and changes will cause loss of profits ,this also affects the truths being published

Others facts are exaggerated so that the phenomena can be used to milk the people.

This is further complicated with Arrogance that will not admit that mankind could be guilty, or that Gods could be out of control ,unloving or incompetent

But I do not think we can make a real difference anymore to change the tide.

On a Global scale,Humanity is not co operative enough .

The poor regions have other priorities such as daily survival.

There is a lot we can do about being more responsible with what we got ,

In the first world countries many do not care or are more interested in Global Control than Global Warming.

  2. Global Warming is real, I'm doing all I can to help this planet, as you all should. We need to help this environment because we live in it! Also, I wanna move to Manhattan, so hopefully it won't go under water

  3. welll.....my thoughts are that maybe cause of the stuff humans are destroying..........that the earth might be at danger...... :(

  4. There is reason to believe that the earth is warming. There is NO reason to believe that humans are causing it other than to find someway to exploit and control humans on a political scale.

Its easy, get a prophet (Al Gore) to champion a cause that is backed up by scientists afraid of losing their funding unless they tow the line and you get laws passed that allow a select few to control the many!

Pass out a few Nobel Prizes (even Arafat go one!) and every lemming on the planet believes you.

  5. Global warming???   How do we know that the Earth is getting warmer?  Good grief..... the surface stations used to report temperatures have been found to be reporting higher than actual temperatures due to faulty equipment/placement..... this has been going on for years and the problem is getting worse!  NOAA has done nothing to correct the situation, and the Gore-ites are not going to mention it...... such a revelation would undermine the so-called 'science' that has been built with faulty data!!!

  6. thank you hybrid... i agree

  7. I have heard Global Warming is a scam by some organization, but who knows they might be true. Or Global Warming can be real.

  8. It's real, and an issue.

As for New York, even the island of Manhattan has high points over 200 feet above sea level.

Greenland may raise sea levels a few meters, but the worst estimate provided so far was that it could take 300 years to melt.  That may change as ice sheet dynamics are studied mroe and better understood, and as Greenland is observed over the next few El Nino warm cycles.

Areas of Florida may have a problem sooner, due to storm surges during hurricanes.

You can choose to believe or not.  Your decision won't affect what the rest of the world understands and chooses to do about it.

  9. How about the report released yesterday stating that this is the coldest January world wide in the last 100 years and the the average temperature for the last 114 years is a mighty .1%..... Man is that getting hot.

  10. all of the black discusting smoke and pollution rotting the only home we have is obviously doing some damage whether or not global warming is a "scam" the efforts to reduce it is good becuase we will have less pollution.i bet the sky looked so much clearly before we polluted

  11. With global warming, we're talking about a 1 degree increase over the last 100 years, and the average temperatures were 0.4 degrees below average when it started.

People are panicking over something they can't detect, believing the arctic ice caps are melting in the dead of winter, and that global warming is the cause of record cold and snows.

For the last 30 years Algore has warned us that we only have 10 years left before we hit the "tipping point" and it's too late.

It reminds me of the Y2K panic in 1999.

  12. global warming is happening, but slowley

if my calculations are correct alaska will be ten degrees warmer in twenty years

how do you explain the ice capes melting, all the pollution we put in the air is the cause of global warming

Manhattan and Miami will be submerged in water in a hundred years, fiftey-two days, 19 minutes, and 12 seconds...ok im not sure about the minutes and seconds, but the others im positive about

  13. I might even believe it if a believer like Al Gore bet a million that NY would be underwater in the year 2010, like he says.

He won't because he knows it's a scam.  He and others certainly like the money they make by pushing this hoax, but none will bet on it.

Notice that on this site the people who push it the most are "environmental scientists" who make money by keeping the myth alive.

  14. THE TALE OF TWO HOUSES

    House #1?

    A 20 room mansion ( not including 8 bathrooms ) heated by

natural gas. Add on a pool ( and a pool house) and a separate guest

house, all heated by gas. In one month this residence consumes more?

energy than the average American household does in a year. The

average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2400. In

natural gas alone, this property consumes more than 20 times the

national average for an American home. This house is not situated

in a Northern or Midwestern "snow belt" area. It's in the South.?

    House #2?

Designed by an architecture professor at a

leading national university. This house incorporates every

"green" feature current home construction can provide. The house is

4,000 square feet ( 4 bedrooms ) and is nestled on a high prairie in the

American southwest. A central closet in the house holds geothermal

heat-pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the

ground. The water (usually 67 degrees F.) heats the house in the winter

and cools it in the summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or

natural gas and it consumes one-quarter electricity required for a

conventional heating/cooling system. Rainwater from the roof is collected

and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from

showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then

into the cistern. The collected water then irrigates the land?

surrounding the house. Surrounding flowers and shrubs native to the area

enable the property to blend into the surrounding rural landscape **** HOUSE #1

is outside of? Nashville ,? Tennessee ; it is the abode of?

    the "environmentalist" Al Gore.?

    HOUSE #2

is on a ranch near Crawford,

Texas; it is the residence?of the President of the? United States ,

    George W. Bush.?

    An "inconvenient truth".
