The school my 6 year old goes to runs the jolly phonics program to teach children to read and right. Was just interested on views from parents who also have there children involved in this program. Do you feel it pushes the kids to hard? Not all schools are involved in this but I do know that they are trying to introduce it to more schools as the years go by. Personally I think it is fantastic but I have a very bright child who was able to pick it up very easily. My concern is my next child who is about to start kindly next year who is very different academically.

  1. We use the Jolly Phonics program at the preschool I work at to teach 2-4 year olds and it's amazing how quickly they pick it up.

  2. We use this program starting with our toddlers on through to our seniors. They are really picking it up. The parents are amazed at what the children are learning. The children need to know more before they enter kindergarten. Every year, the school entry requirements become more complicated for these little guys. The Jolly Phonics program is one of those programs which helps the children be ready for Kindergarten.

  3. My 8 year old is very good at maths but not so good when it comes to English. Her school do jolly phonics and I find it great.  The  early learning centre do lots of books and games  on jolly phonics which was interesting for my daughter and it helped a lot with her English. She enjoyed having fun while learning.
