In all honesty, with no disrespect whatsoever, this is an amateur question.

Let's think about it, what is scary? What makes us humans scared...fear? Fear is a million different things to a million different people.

That's what's so great about horror films, they encompass all these exstensively broad areas in the realm of fear. Which broaden even moreso in the different cinematic cultures across the world.

I HATE scary movies because they give me nightmares so I try not to watch them... So likely

House on Haunted Hill (the remake) was my worst... And

the Exorcism of Emily Rose...

Those are really the only scary movies i have seen.. I don't have a 3rd but those ones gave me nightmares! (Stupid ones like Signs and Saw don't really scare me.. much.)

Its creepy movies where there are spirits and things you cant see that scare me... Not force monsters!
