What are your Opinions of Carmen?

Question

I love the name Carmen but wonder if it's a name whose public image is really restricted for those of Spanish descent. My daughter would likely have red hair and be very pale-skinned (freckles, no tan ever), looking very Irish. Do you think this would be a hard name for her to have?

The first thing I think of when I hear the name carmen, is spanish. You could name her that, but it's your choice.

Carly would be better and Lilian u could call her Lily!! Paige would suit her well. But the people that know her, when they think of carmen they will imagine that kind

Whats the middle name? Carmen can be a very pretty name but depending on what you pair it with it could be very spanish. But if you love the name then do it, it is a beautiful name.

I love the name, and don't think it's Spanish decent. A name is what you make it and I think it'd be cute on a girl with red hair.

For a beutiful red head I'd go with Amber, Kelly, Kimmie or Dawn.  I would stay away from the spanish descent names because of her appearance.  If you want to though you could use Carmen as a middle name.

There's a girl in my class that has red hair and is pale-skinned and her name is Carmen. I wouldnt worry about it
