pretty good actually. if you check various leaderboards, there are quite a few people winning every week, week in and week out, at all levels. while it seems nearly impossible to win the big tourneys, or even make final tables, it is possible to win consistently.

Your chances are directly related to how much time and effort you want to put into it.  You will need to read strategy books, have a large enough bankroll to sustain the swings, and have many, many hours to grind it out against your opponents.
