What are your complaints on the shopping cart?

I'm doing a paper in my English class about shopping carts and common complaints people have about them.

What complaints do you have about the modern day shopping cart?

i would say that the squeaky or loose wheel would be my biggest complaint. i think stores should have a wrench available with the greeter (and train the greeter) to fix the wheel.

also where's the cup holder? you can buy a can of soda before you go in, but how do you hold it and push the cart? if you try and balance it in the cart, it spills.

there are no brakes, and why aren't the baskets square? i also don't like it when the plastic handle breaks or slips while you are pushing. it really bites when it pinches your palm.

my favorite carts are at food lion (if you have one in your area you'll know what i'm talking about) they have a smaller version of the shopping cart so you don't have to lug around huge cart to pick up a few items.
