  1. Hands down PPQ, in the outer Richmond on Clement Street and between 25th and 24th. The roasted crab, the imperial rolls, the garlic noodles, and the chicken curry pho are insanely good, and at a reasonable price.

  4. The best Vietnamese restaurants in the bay area are actually in San Jose.  Try Bun Bo Hue An Nam, Cao Nguyen Restaurant, Huong Lan Sandwich or Pho Kim Long Restaurant for some amazing, authentic Vietnamese.  

    In San Francisco, check out Saigon Sandwiches for terrific Vietnamese sandwiches and also Pagolac for 7 Courses of Beef.

  7. Le Cheval in old Oakland, near Jack London Square, has really good French Vietnamese food ... only downside is that it's always packed.  Mmmmm
