  1. "THAT BALL IS HIT HIGH, DEEP, GONE! NUMBER 756. BONDS STANDS ALONE!"

    Great call by John Miller.

  2. it was a while back (it happened a few times) but there was one out and it was poped up to rf and when the fielder caught it and tossed it into the stands thinking that was the third out and i think a runner scored

  3. He's GOT IT! FLIPS IT TO MIENTKIEWICZ. THE BOSTON RED SOX ARE THE WORLD CHAMPIONS!"

  4. My most memorable moments are Roger Ventura's Walk-Off Grand Slam Single against the Braves in the 5th inning of Game 5 of the NLCS in 1999.

I also will never forget Pedro Tossing Zim

Johnny Damon's Grand Slam in Game 7, it was right there that I knew the Red Sox were going to break the curse and when the series. (Even though I said after Game 3 they would come back because that was the only proper way to eliminate the curse).

Finally, even though it has lost it's luster, I remember watching McGwire hit number 62 off of Steve Trachsel.

  5. Red Sox coming back from 3-0 to win the series.  I like it even more because it happened against the Yankees.

  6. 5. Old-Timers Day 1991, with Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle on hand, and Reggie Jackson playing in his first Old-Timers' game and making a great catch, something he didn't do often in Pinstripes, and he was 44 years old.  In the regular game, the Yanks beat the Angels, 12-10.

    4. The Boston Tie Party, October 2, 1978.  Bucky Blessed Dent.  I was just a kid at the time, but it was glorious.

    3. My first Yanks-Red Sox game at Fenway, a 13-3 demolition, with Chuck Knoblauch and Derek Jeter leading off the game with home runs, July 30, 1999.  The shocking part was Joe Torre left his starter in to pitch a complete game.  The truly shocking part was that it was Hideki Irabu! Actually, the really shocking part was that I got out of New England alive and in one piece.

    2. Aaron Boone's home run to win the 2003 Pennant.

    1. Yankees beating Mets to win 2000 World Series.  As bad as losing the 2004 Pennant to the Red Sox was, it would have been ten times worse to lose this Series.  But the Yankees have this edge over the Mets and it can never be reversed.

  7. Mine is when Gibson came up in the 1988 world series, everyone was wondering what Lasorda was thinking. He hit a home run and you can see all the break light of the fans who had given up on us. It was the first big Dodger moment I can remember seeing.

  8. "Renteria bounces it back to Foulke. He's GOT IT! FLIPS IT TO MIENTKIEWICZ. THE BOSTON RED SOX ARE THE WORLD CHAMPIONS!"

    That was AWESOME!

  9. Mine is when i pitched a complete game against Fredrick (i play for the Potomac Nationals single A baseball as a pitcher). My MLB favorite moment is when Adam Dunn and Sean Casey double teamed on the Phillies on 2003.

  10. Kirk Gibson's pinch hit home run.

Edgar Martinez walk-off double, scoring Griffey from 1st to win game 5 of the 1995 divisional series against the Yankees.

"Griffeys rounding 3rd, they're waving him in, and the throw is.....LATE, THE MARINERS ARE GOING TO PLAY, FOR THE AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP. MY OH MY!" Almost every Mariners fan can quote that. Even those who weren't old enough to remember it when it happened have probably seen the replay on local sports channels in Seattle enough times.

  11. Yeah, I'm pretty young too, so I can't reach back decades ago and bring up Jackie Robinson or anything like that.

However, I loved the Red Sox coming back from 3-0 in '04 as well.  That was so terrific!

The next best "moment" was Jon Lester's no hitter.  That was terrific.

As a Rangers fan, the 2006 All Star Game where Michael Young delivered the game-winning triple was pretty awesome to me.

    And the number one moment:

As an O's fan, Cal Ripken's 2,131st game.  Standing ovation for 20+ minutes.  I get chills just watching the replays!

  12. When Charlie Hayes caught the final out of the '96 World Series. Finally saw the Yankees win a World Series and was old enough to appreciate it. Going to the parade a few days later was sweet, too.

Aaron Boone going deep on Tim Wakefield to end the '03 ALCS. Just fantastic. Words can't describe how elated I was after that series was over. That was a well-played and intense series. To see the Yankees dust off their rivals once more was a thing of beauty to me.

The last out of the 2000 Subway Series. Great day to be a Yankees fan and to smile in the face of bitter Mets fans. Just great.

  13. I'm young also, so..

When Jeff Davanon hit for the cycle when he was in the Angels few years back

    Winning the 2002 world series

  14. One of my favorites is john lester coming back from his illness. iam a yankee fan but i give lester props. iam also 39 so i remember bucky dents blast over the monster to beat the sox in a one game playoff
