My fiance and I are getting married in just 6 weeks. We're having a rather informal, outdoor wedding and reception in my grandparent's backyard. Rather than asking everyone to bring a dish (which would be insane, considering there will be around 65 people invited) I, and a few helpers, will be making all the dishes. My dad and grandpa are cooking the meat, but I need some suggestions for side dishes and appetizers. No desserts, as they'll need to save room for cake! ;) Thanks!

  5. so i did the exact same thing for my wedding.  my husband and i are both chefs, so we did all the food.  we made pasta salad, bruschetta, assorted cheese and crackers, hamburgers, grilled chicken, grilled pork loin...i know there was more, but i'm having a brain f**t.  i would just keep it super simple.  we also set out chips, salsa, guacamole, pretzels, and little snacks.  we had a ton of extra food, but put it to good use.  i hope ur special day goes as planned!  enjoy and good luck!!!!
