I'm looking for vegetables that are as common(broccoli, corn, etc.). I'm on a vegetarian diet and was wondering anyone had any favorite vegies that I may want to try.

  2. Carrots but they never help me to see in the dark

  3. Mash pumpkin with a bit of butter.. delish

  4. i like

carrots, eggplant, zucchini, onions, brussel sprouts, fresh peas, peppers, beets

  5. sweet corn

    green salads

    green peppers

    onions

    carrots

    radishes

  6. the banana will give its fruit; raw fruit fot vegitable; flower for a good fry very delicious, the middle stem will dissolve the stones in the kidney if you take it with buttermilk and can use it in cooking. every vagitable hs its own speciality and good for health.

  7. i can barely go a meal without spinach, and I'm a meat fiend. I can suggest a snacky thing that, while fairly common, is a tasty alternative to chicken wings or those types of things. Cut an eggplant into finger width slices and then cut them down so they are batons of finger width and length (ish). Salt, then rinse the eggplant. Coat w/ flour, egg and then breadcrumbs. Deep fry or saute with a lot of oil in a pan and serve with garlic aioli. Scrumptious like you wouldn't believe.

  8. Kale

    Bok Choy

    Portabella Mushrooms

    Egg Plant

    Spinach

    Mustard Greens

    Avocado

    Tomatilo

  9. Choko's

  10. I've been enjoying esparagus as a side plate at dinner nowadays.  They're incredibly healthy and provide a lot of minerals and vitamins, so it's great if it's included in your diet.  I don't know how common or uncommon it is, but a lot of people at my work never included it in their diet, so I guess it's a little unusual compared to popular vegatables like broccoli and corn as you've mentioned.  good luck with your new diet!  I hope everything works out for you.

  11. When I was my ideal weight I used to eat raw broccoli (without any dressing or anything) as if it was candy. I really don't much about exotic vegetables. Guess the only thing I can think up is kohlrabi or rhubarb.

    edit:

Unless you are familiar with Korean foods, I suppose kim chee (spelling?) might be somewhat exotic to some people.

  12. Carrots. Best snack ever. I don't know if bell peppers count as a vegetable but season and cook red, yellow, and green bell peppers on a stove-top pan throw in some onions (white, purple, and/or spring(chives, green)) put it all on one side of a (soft) tortilla, add cheese, fold it in half, and slightly brown the tortilla (also melting the cheese). this makes an awesome vegetarian quesadilla. (I just saw your edit and nothing I put here is uncommon but I will still submit this)
