  1. Olives, sardines, crisp sardine bones, gambas (prawns), anguillas (baby eel), fresh herring, jamon Serrano o Iberico, sausages

  2. Goat cheese baked in tomato sauce.  I get it at every tapas restaurant.

  3. Spanish style cream-croquettes, white asparagus rolled with Spanish cured ham...

  4. vinegared boquerones, tortilla & russian salad are my 3 favourites

also 'sausages from h**l' (flamed chorizo) are pretty good

& a whole lot of wonderful others that have no names, because they come free with your beer in some Spanish 'old town' bars

half the fun is the anticipation of what's coming next!

  5. pink and warm on toast topped with scotch bonnets

  6. bacon-wrapped dates.

Easy as all h**l and delicious; you just get a package of bacon and a bunch of dates.  Cut the bacon strips in half crosswise (so you have two shorter strips of bacon), and roll a date up inside each half-strip, like if you were making "pigs in a blanket."  Stick a toothpick through it to hold the bacon in place.  Then put them all on a baking sheet and pop them under the broiler in your oven, keeping a eye on them and shaking them around now and then, until the bacon is fried up and crispy and everything smells so good that you're seriously thinking of climbing directly into the oven to eat them all.

  7. Paella

  8. chevice. I had fresh tilapia chevice the other day it was delish! I also like tostones and Patagonian beef which is a spicy version of thinly cut beef steak.

  9. Chorizos, stuffed mushrooms, battered whitebait, mussels, Spanish Omlette is nice but not really stretching my tastebuds.

  10. Patatas Bravas- spicy coated potato chunks. yummy with dip!

  11. I like the garlic shrimp, marinated mixed olives, marinated artichokes, Spanish cheeses & bread, roasted red peppers, cod fritters, egg and potatoes..... they are all delicious!

  12. Try Morcilla, the Spanish version of black pudding, lightly fried then served with some good olives (check out www.olivesetal.co.uk) and some Jamon iberico, or toss the Morcilla in some lightly seasoned risotto rice....
