Question:

What are your feelings about BoA?

Her last three studio albums have been Japanese and she lives in Japan. In my opinion she has sold out to the Japanese market and Koreans tend to not like that. I've noticed her popularity among college students in Korea seems to be decreasing.

There's no denying her talent, but I'm not sure the Korean fan base is what it once was.

What do you think?

  1. I dont think it matters what country shes in.

I know she has talents, but as a korean teen, i think shes a bit old.

I mean the stars nowadays is much younger...

well except 4 maybe a few, like hyeori....

but i think its the age...

  2. Shes going where the money is coming from. I dont know about her status in korea but I agree that she did sold out to the japanese market.

Has there been any boycott of her products?

  3. well i still like her but sadly not as much as i used to

i sometimes believe that shes more japanese than korean

cause the amount of time she spend in japan

i really wish her cds would contain more korean lyrics

don't get me wrong im a huge j-pop fan but i'm very addicted to korean music as well and because shes korean i enjoy her korean songs much more than her songs in japanese

the reason why  boa has sold to the japanese market its likely due to lack of album sales in korea

  4. once she release her new album his winter, shes going to be popular again but not as popular as before, if she wants to win her fan back, she needs to go on tv shows, but i remember when she was crazy popular but i think its all about the money, since shes gets soo much in japan and not in korea

  5. I discovered that, too

I was searching for some korean songs to practice Korean

and I remembered BoA used to sing in Korean

but when i searched her name up

I discovered that most of her latest songs are in Japanese

I think it is absurd for her to do so, because Korea has become quite prosperous, too, hasn't it?

at least in Taiwan, Korean's culture has become quite popular

  6. i noticed that too.I've been a fan of her for quite some time now.and i always acknowledge her as a Korean singer not as a Japanese singer.but then compared to Korea she's been doing good in japan.and i guess LSM wants to conquer Asia.he's not just concentrating on Korea but on other big countries too.and boa is his one way to achieve it.
