  2. sham is the first word in the mind:

    - lip synching kid inserted because real is too ugly.

    - walled olympic city a "disneyland bejing"

    - automatic 15 points to any chinese athletes in judged events.

    - censored internet

    - factory/cars had to be shut down to make air quality livable for 2 weeks. (it will be smog again tomorrow)

    - protestors arrested or sent to middle of nowhere to protest

    - pyrotechnics digitally inserted into broadcast feeds.

    PLUS;

track was very very fast.. broke lots of records that will never be touched again unless same track construction.

    - new speedo swin suits used by all swimmers now is why all the previous pool records also broken.

    like I said...

    sham ful

  3. China: very traditional opening ceremony, showing heritage and spriti

    Compeition: amazing, awe-inspiring, thrilling

    Results- suprising and amazing

    Venues: pretty cool

Coverage: to sided towards america, and diddnt show all events enough, but they showed swimming thats all that matters!

  4. very nice, very well put together. Shawn and Nasita winning gold was great, Shawn was really fun to watch! The women's rowing team winning their first gold since 1984, the men's volleyball team winning their first gold since 1988. Both ceromonies were ah inspiring. My most heartbreaking moment was when Alicia Sacramone fell on her final two events in the team final, my heart went out to her! Usain Bolt was jaw dropping how he crushed the field. All in all, it was one of the best Olympics ever, but my most favorite moment in the Olympics was in 1996, when Kerri Strug vaulted on a sprained ankle to win the gold for the U.S. women.

  5. I enjoyed all of them with the exception of the British take over, and not because of them taking them over.  I feel that the Mayor of London has a lot to learn on dressing (he looked like a slob), manners (he had none, just look at the was he handled the Olympic flag and the way he struted around), and over all grace and lack of reverance for the tradition of the Games.

  6. Best games ever!
