Their passport show that their age is 16, but documents produced LAST year verified that many of them we 13 ( at the time) making them 14 now. Should they be stripped of the gold medals??

  1. they have no way of proving they are 16, so they have no way of stripping them from their medals. i think they are more like 10 to 13 now.  a part of it though might be why they look way younger than they prob are is because gymnastics sorta slows down the growning process. and they start from age 3.

  2. YES - they should be stripped of the medals that half of them dont even deserve...

Nastia Liukin so dominated the chinese chik but only tied?? then eventually lost. what we really need is qualified judges!

  3. 9-14 years old and yes, they should be stripped of all medals, not just the gold ones. And China should banned from future olympic gymnastics for at least 1 summer olympics. Then maybe theyll learn. Also China's olympic committee should be punished for overlooking or possibly helping the gymnastics team's cheating. Yeah, I said it. I'm not afraid to. You can give me a thumbs down if you want to but,   CHINA IS CHEATING!!!   WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

  4. ha ha right!!!

if the american would have win, no body would bother about the chinise age.

word said by Nastia during the competition

and is the truth. instead they should give phelps an antidopping test

  5. I think they are all too young to be dedicating their life to a sport and should at least be in college to compete in the olympics.

  6. to me they seem 13-15 to me. i think they get their medals stripped off, not that i'm against China or anything

  7. Stripped of their golds? For what reason? So that AMERICANS can win gold instead? Give me a break! I'm sick of American viewers who think that American athletes are ENTITLED to win gold medals.

Bela Karoly is simply a sore loser. He turned his back on his own country in the name of the almighty dollar.

  8. They cheated. It's unfair, they should give the gold medal to the U.S. gymnasts.

  9. questioner why do you have to assume that only america cares about this... if this is true which i hope it is i bet that the girls who came in 4th behind some chinese girls would want their medals...

  10. As long as the US still got medals I could care less. China did well. US did well. Time to move on.

  11. American got beat by better gymnasts since younger is WAY better in gymnastics.  Too bad American couldn't' break out our 14 year old gymnasts.

Too bad everyone cant' play by the rules.

  12. They did break the rules, but d**n it's sad when you are supposed to be the best and you get beat by 13 year olds.

  13. No you shouldn't unless you can prove they are really underage (of 16 on the competition year). However, those Chinese didn't win just by looking young. Likewise, American didn't lose by being a bit tall or solid in build or being tired (other gymnasts were tired too). The home audience in the indoor stadium cheer for every gymnast who competed, so be fair.

  14. Does it really matter? China did it before. Now that China has has some medals, the media decides to bring it up? If U.S killed China in the gymnastics, and the media didn't bring it up, would you have still ask this question? Don't believe everything you see on television. GET A LIFE.

He Kexin is talking about Nestia Liukin.

    Target: Nastia Liukin

While many gymnasts are reluctant to name their rivals, He says she's out to beat American Nastia Liukin on uneven bars. She's even said that she increased the difficulty in her routine after learning of Liukin's 7.7 difficulty score.

He Kexin says, "My target is to beat her at the Olympics," He said to the China Daily. "She is definitely the most dangerous gymnast in the world, but I am confident I can keep her away from the gold medal as long as I can perform at my highest level."

And what do you know? Kexin did beat her in the uneven bars.

I'm not Chinese, I'm actually Latin American.

  15. there is really no way to know for sure what their ages are because their passports may be wrong. i just don't understand why they aren't using their birth certificates. they may be 16, because chinese girls look younger than they are anyway, but we'll never really know for sure.

  16. 13 ??? They looked more around 11-12 to me, but whatever, it's over now.

  17. Meh, I think this is getting really old. It really doesn't matter to me who got the gold, both the Chinese girls and the American girls did excellent and should be proud regardless. Yes, it is unfair, but the Paul Hamm thing in Athens was unfair as well and the Americans didn't say anything about it.
