I want to know what do you guys think is the ratio of success of America in the wars it is engaged in with the Muslims. I dont know who gave it the right to do it, but was it really after terrorists or hurting innocent people (including women & children) or bringing naturally gifted areas under its command? I want to know your views.

  1. No it appears Saddam lost

  2. Never mind the Iraqi war. Any war is wrong. War is murder. Yes, I agree America has lost it all. They think they own the world.

  3. um ok well this is a loaded question.  I was a military brat and I know what our soldiers have to go through in order to survive in a "war" and the mental impact it takes on them. I feel that it was better to go there and fight to keep us safe than to fight it here while we are all being killed.  Get over it already, these soldiers do what they have to. I bet you whether it was the Vietnam war, the gulf war or any other war the soldiers that return home will all agree to one thing.     They want the same respect and love from their county as they have FOR their country.

My dad served 3 tours in the Vietnam war only to come home and be treated like he did not deserve to live.  He was spit on and had things thrown at him. He was called a baby killer and a lot of other things. People are cruel.  Our soldiers do a great job of protecting us and they should be treated with at least a slight amount of respect.  Not like a dog on the street because you do not like the choice that the president made.  If it was not for these soldiers we would be sleeping with guns and hiding in holes ourselves.

  4. It is just like Vietnam. We will cut and run soon and bring everyone, (who fought on our side) to live in the USA. And show the world once again that America cannot be trusted to defend freedom.

  5. Wow, loaded question!!!!

As for the reason that we first invaded Iraq....as the president of the United States it was Bush's duty to do so considering the possibility of weapons of Mass destruction. Even Saddam himself said in an interview that he purposley led the United States to believe it. So I do not and have never thought that this war was for oil. I

I also don't think the weapons were the only reason for our invasion. If you look at a world map we now occupy Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and guess what is in the middle! IRAN. I think our country's leaders have well laid plans to take measures to protect us from Iran and Iraq was part of it. If you think about every day life, the boss doesn't always have to tell the employees his plan, they just know to do what they are told.

My boyfriend just got back from a 15 month tour, (his second) in Iraq, and he has always said the same thing to people that ask him this very question. "I'd rather fight it there than here" Everyone knows that Saddam was more evil than any serial killer or insane person that the USA has seen. If he had been allowed to remain in power it was only a matter of time before they invaded us, along with their buddies Iran and Bin Laden.

I know that people are against the war because of the lost, young, innocent lives on our part and theirs....but world peace will never be an option as long as countries like Iraq have dictators like Saddam.

Side note: The more stable Iraq becomes, gas prices fall. That's not because we are there for oil, it's because the big companys involved with oil breath a sigh of relief when it looks like we aren't going to have to tap into any type of American reserves.

  6. they lost it long ago.

  7. umm yeah we chose to killl thousands of our own people just for the sake of hurting innocent women and children. yeah. umm NO. we may not have found weapons of mass destruction, but it's their own fault for being so secretive and purposely putting on the facade that they jsut might have them and weapons of mass destruction that could literally obliterate our entire country is nothing fool around with, especially in the wrong hands. how about we chose to invade a country that was harboring a string of terrorists? how about we are setting up a sucessful democratic governmen and placing it in their hands in a place that hasn't ever seen freedom? how about we liberated the iraqis from a dangerous man creating GENOCIDE on his own people?  hmmmm sounds like we did good?

  8. The Iraqi war was lost even before it began! It has been compounded by the war in Afghanistan! Will George make his last mistake the worst by attacking Iran for israel?
