  1. I was worried that it was going to be a horrible ending but i was surprised (but ecstatic) that it as a really good book. I was also worried about that whole s*x thing. But she maneuvered that very well too.

I'm not very happy that this is the last book in the series besides Midnight Sun but this series is defiantly my favorite.

  2. I WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED

    THERE WAS TOTALLY NO ACTION

& BELLA GOT EVERYTHING SHE WANTED

WHICH ONLY MADE HER LOOK MORE STUPID

    RRR I HATE HER

I ONLY READ IT BECAUSE OF EDWARD

I DON'T KNOW HOW HE IS SOOO IN LOVE WITH BELLA

  3. It sucked.

There was no point to the novel.

There was no message, other than morally twisted ones.

    The characters were sooooo ooc.

It's morally and ethically twisted on so many levels. Jake with NESSIE!? Kill me.

    There was no plot.

    The ending was anticlimatic.

The ending was too "happily ever after".

Bella didn't have to sacrifice anything. What happened to "sacrifice to become a vampire"? Smeyer's unwillingness to have Bella give up anything shows what a weak author she is-- she can't bear the idea of hurting any of her characters in any way, hence no sacrifice and anticlimatic ending.

    The writing was awful.

There were SO many plot holes that I wanted to rip the book to shreds.

It was BORING. I have no problems with long books-- I read them all the time-- but this book shouldn't have been 800 pages. It didn't need to be 800 pages; it could have been condensed to about 500.

This book lacked absolutely everything I consider necessary for a book to be considered "good".

The only part I liked was the part from Jake's perspective, and that's only because I like Jake. The rest of the book was awful. I can't believe trees died to print it.

  4. I'd heard it was really bad, but I ended up loving it!  Really, what I was looking for was a happy ending, and I got it. :)

Perhaps I might have done some things differently, like I think I would have had Jacob end up with Leah.  The Renesmee-imprinting thing was slightly disturbing.  And I might have had a little more action with the Volturi.  (Just because that part seemed a little anticlimactic.)

But don't get me wrong...overall, I didn't have any complaints.  I really enjoyed it!!!!  Perfect ending to a perfect series. :)

  5. I have mixed feelings about Breaking Dawn.

Before I add more, I will say that I jumped on the Twilight bandwagon only recently and read the first 3 books in my own personal record time. I picked up Twilight on August 9th, and finished Eclipse 6 days later on August 15th. I simply LOVED Eclipse and was looking forward to Breaking Dawn. It took me 6 days to get through the last novel and it was more difficult to read than the others.

For me, I enjoyed the beginning-Bella-Book 1. I loved the human/vampire relationship of Bella & Edward. But then the whole mysterious pregnancy started to be weird for me. Jacob-Book 2 did clarify a lot of points, but I thought it was way too long. Kind of out of place too. Then the whole major descriptions of the pregnancy, illness, & birth started to spoil the book for me. It just didn't seem right. The chapter of Bella's transformation was overly worded and way too descriptive. I can visualize what I read just fine, but this was a bit sensroy overload (which I assume would be Ms. Meyer's point). It wasn't convincing how Bella overcame the 'newborn vampire' stage. Her role as a mom wasn't too convincing either. I just thought some of these newborn-adjusting to vampire life chapters were boring. Jacob's imprinting on Renesemee was something I instantly figured out and kind of had mixed feelings. Jacob starting his own pack and practically living at the Cullen's home was something I didn't care for either. I truly loved the snide remarks & competition between Jake & Edward. All of the witnesses that came forward jsut added more and more characters. The whole Volturi scene was way too overboard and could have been condensed. Bella's super shield reminded me of Violet from The Incredibles!

But, I did like that there was closure. The happy family, Alice's explanations, and a future of vampires, werewolves, & humans co-existing do make for a positive ending. It also leaves the door open should Ms. Meyer wish to continue the series. But a part of me liked the human/vampire relationship more.  There were other things that bothered me about the implied s*x and conception of the baby, plus the whole delivery scene.

Again-just my opinion. I enjoyed the entire series; just some books better than others. I'm not this huge Twilight fanatic like many of you are, but I do appreciate all of your passion towards the series.
