What are your opinions on this situation

Question

I was walking on the beach. There were many people about including a mother with two kids who were running around naked. I was sitting on a rock and one of these girls started climbing behind me. I felt really uncomfortable because they were naked, so I ignored them and their mother gave me a dirty look. However, if I would have acknowleged them, their mum probably would have accused me of paedophilia.

Was I right to do what I did?

You should have just got up and moved away from them in my opinion. How old were these kids?

You were completely right.  In this day an age its to easy to get in trouble for those types of situations.  If I were in that situation i would have done the same thing.  I'm assuming it wasn't a nude beach, since you didn't mention yourself being nude, so her being nude with her kids was just an attention getter.

You absolutely did nothing wrong.  One the mother should not have her children running around naked in public.  If I were you, I would have been the one giving her dirty looks, because there are pedophiles out there, and she is exposing her children to everybody perv or not.

You'd hope it would be common sense, in htis day and age at least, to clothe children in public. It's just too easy to be accused of all kinds of outrageous things these days.

I would have told the mother to cover up her kids, I know kids like to run around naked but there's a time and a place for it.

i think in the world we live in know you where probably right either the mother would of said something to you or somebody else would.

You must have been on a naturist beach u should have been Naked, maybe that is why she did not approve.

complained to parent to cover her kids up, exposure to sun, say yu'll phone child services.

I would have done the same too.  Its a sad state of affairs really.  To be honest, as a mum myself, i would not let my children run around naked, i would make sure their bits were covered just in case.

I was watching a discussion the other day and one guy said that he felt that he could not even pick up a child in a park that had fallen over and was crying for fear that their mother or father would accuse him of inappropriate touching.

But yes, i would not have aknowledged them either.
