Beginner or not? Good or S****y? It's on ebay. It sounds good, but then again, what do I know about any guitar? If you have or had experiance with it, tell me.

Thanks!

  1. Hey, come to think of it, I had a buddy in college that was a beginner and he got an Ibanez Talman TCY20 Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar. Google it. It's slightly smaller in the body than average acoustics, so it won't be as bulky as most girls think acoustics are. It's acoustic-electric. Several Ibanez Talman models ranging from $199-$269. I liked playing it a lot. I considered buying one. they're so light too. check that one out before you buy just any ibanez.

  2. I would never, ever buy a guitar on eBay.  I urge you to buy a guitar from your local music store.

  3. Takamine makes excellent guitars, and Jasmine is their introductory model.  I've played a lot of guitars, and I've played expensive Takamine's and Jasmines.  Yes, there is a sound difference (solid woods, and lacquer choices make for your sound).  The more you spend the better, but if you're just starting, find a guitar that you feel comfortable with, and that will stay in tune, and that your local guitar shop can help if problems develop.  Takamine, Ibanez, Fender and Yamaha all can meet these criteria.  If you're experienced, go with something more experience.
