What are your options for how you want your steak cooked?

I know rare, medium-rare, medium, and well-done. Am I missing anything?

  5. Mine always well done. All the rest not so cooked are dangerous man. Some bacterias & tape worms are still alive & will go down your stomach & live in there & lay eggs. My mom loved to eat rare so much, until she complained of severe stomach pains. We thought it was only some ulcers. But ow, when she was told by a Doctor, upon examining her stool specimen, aww, she was infested with tapeworms. It took a year of medicine intake to clear her stomach.

    Ok, here's another. In China & Taiwan, Chinese cook chicken deep fried, but not well cooked that there are still fresh chicken bloods. Maybe they like the taste more at that or they are people always in a hurry. It was found out that this unhealthy habit / style of cooking is the cause of the dreaded Bird's Flu & other flu's they get.

    Now, do you like well done, like I do? Or do you want more experiments other than all you mentioned above?

Rare which is a cold red center, Medium-rare which is a warm red center, Medium is a hot pink center from edge to edge, then there is Medium-well and that is a slight pink center, well-done and that should be brown from edge to edge, a good cook can achieve this without burning the outside. There is also the option of Pittsburg which is burnt on the out side and rare in the middle.

  10. me other half sumtime buy a redy prepared spice mix at supermarket and put it on he likes his still mooing i prefer overdone nice and dark wiv mushrooms onionrings frozenpeas smalll boiled spuds and mintsauce ooh makes me hungry

  12. Pittsburgh is when you grill a steak over a high flame and cook it for about a minute on each side. it's obviously pretty rare.
