  1. Nadal won't reach the finals.  Roger will beat Novak in the finals if they are on opposite sides of the draw.

  2. roger iz sumwat a sore lozer but i think nadal will win again federer needz another loss he wins too much

  3. Federer!!!!

  4. All this talk of Nadal as a finalist (or champion) is optimistic. Yes, he is playing well at the moment, but his hard court record isn't as good as Djokovic's or Federer's. His best result is the Quarter Final's in 2006, and his best for the Aussie Open is the Semis this year, where he got whipped 6 - 2, 6 - 3, 6 - 2 by unseeded Tsonga. And his knees have just got worse throughout the year, he's just pulled out of the Mercedes Cup because of his injury, and the hard court season will be very unforgiving. Winning those RG and Wimbly and Artois in between takes it out of you, I would imagine. Federer will be reigning champion, and eager to win again after his losing slump this year, and Djokovic will want to make up for his time at Wimbledon. Tsonga, finalist at AO, gave Nole a run for his money there too, so he could play a factor. I'm sensing  a Federer - Djokovic final again this year, and I hope, for his sake, that Federer wins. It will be hard, though, if this is the case; I'm a major fan of both of them!

  5. Federer vs. Djokovic

    Federer in 4.................

  6. Of course it will be Federar, despite losing in wibledon

nadal is in good form too

    don't forget that

  7. I don't see Nadal in the finals to be honest , hard court is not his thing just yet. Depends on a draw but if Djokovic is not on Federer's side like it was on Wimbledon I would say Federer vs Djokovic. If not than I really don't know who can be in the final with Federer ( I think he can beat Djokovic in semis), maybe some surprise as Tsonga on AO.

And yes I would love to see Federer winning it.

  8. Federer v. Nadal is logical, but I think Nadal has to demonstrate he has improved on hard courts.  I think he has stepped up his game on all surfaces, so I agree w/ Federer v. Nadal.

If they meet in the US Open Final or any other Grand Slam Final, Nadal wins.

  9. that would be great. Sadly, Nadal doesn't have good results on hardcourts. He only made it to the 4th round last year. But yeah, if he does make it to the final  I think Roger will own him.

  10. winner: federer

  11. Tiger Woods!

  12. Final - Federer vs Djokovic

    Winner - Federer

  13. Semifinals

    Roger Federer vs. Novak Djokovic

    Andy Roddick vs. Mikhail Jouzny

    Final

    Novak Djokovic vs. Andy Roddick

    Winner

    Andy Roddick

Mikhail has had some good success on hard courts and at the US Open I think he will surprise being in the semifinals and holding match points against Roddick..

Federer is Federer he will still go far but having to fight through 4 and 5 set battles along the way before he is shocked by much younger and fresher Nole

Djokovic has had some time to practice being out of Wimbledon early and since last year he reached final he will be motivated to win this time

Roddick is skipping the Olympic games so he can practice hard for the US Open. He is looking for a second title there and he will work very hard cause he has the game only needs to focus on court and stay focused and not give easy points

  14. well US Open is a while away. but it would also depend on the players performances at the US Open series events..

i am actually thinking Novak will do something.. he likes hardcourts.... and federer i get the feeling might be slamless this year..

don't be too suprised if it happens

  15. federer

  16. I don't think Nadal will be in the finals, although it would be nice since reaching the finals will seal him as the new #1 regardless of the outcome of the match.  A lot will depend on which side Djokovic is on though.  It's quite possible that he'll repeat his Australian success and will get another hard court slam.

It is also quite possible that the US Open will be the first tournament where Federer won't reach even the semi.  Right now he's crushed after his Wimbledon loss and hard courts is where he can be beaten by players other than Nadal (i.e. Roddick, Safin, Nalbandian).

  17. fedex to win over rafa.

  18. nadal all the way
