What are your thoughts Yankees fans?

Jeff Karstens is looking pretty good in his Pirates debut.

5.0 Innings, 4 hits, 3 BBs, 0 ER, 1 K, 78 pitches

He does need to work on his control and keep his walk totals down.

We will see if he can finish the game strong.

I doubt there was an in-depth scouting report available on him. Wait till his second start against the same teams and then see what happens.

I wouldn't base anything on this start.  The Cubs never hit rookie pitchers well.  Wait until some teams get some video to study of this guy and then we'll see how he does.

Doesnt really matter.....id still rather have Nady and Marte.....i always knew karstens had an upside....he had showed that before but he wasnt their need at this point in time.....im fine with him pitching well
