I'm looking at an all inclusive at the Riu Palace....

My fiance and I like different foods, so I was a little apprehensive about Mexico... but this place has 7 different themed restaurants and looks fantastic. Anyone have a personal experience at this resort.... any suggestions/opinions are appreciated!!

  1. Hello

I definitely recommend that you better make your honeymoon in Cancun is a place almost designed for that and very romantic places to have a honeymoon unforgettable

  2. Cabo may be in Mexico but you would be surprised how many American expats live there, it is basically a more laid back version of San Diego back in the 50's.

Mexico is fairly safe to travel around in if you know a little Spanish. beware of the "federales" they are always out for a little bribe, if you get pulled over for speeding you may be able to "take care" of the officer on site. Mexico is a very affordable destination for most travelers, it would make a great get away/honeymoon. just use your street smarts and you will do fine. Cabo San Lucas has some of the best deep sea fishing in the world, they regularly catch record breaking sailfish & swordfish. again a little Spanish on your side will open many smiles for your trip.-blurey

  3. Hola!  I know the Riu Palace and Riu Sante Fe really well.  You will not be disappointed if you chose either.  Great for first timers into Cabo because everything is taken care of, and you can explore Cabo and enjoy all the activities.  Sightsee and enjoy the sun and surf.

But as you know, all-inclusives can feel a little like being cattle.  My suggestion is, that you and your new spouse, go off site for a couple dinners too.  That way you can experience some great restaurants and ambience elsewhere.

The grounds are immaculant and the service really good for mexico. Both are huge complexes, so you do kinda lose out on that individual care and attention the small resorts have.

Congrats and have a great honeymoon!
