What are your thoughts about Humpy Wheeler's last race?

I'd love to know what is really going on. I'm no fan of Bruton Smith, but something stinks with Humpy being replaced with Bruton's son. Humpy has made it pretty clear his retirement is not exactly on his own terms.

i think that the pre race type stuff is going to be pretty bad...like the stuff they have at the track but who knows we will see next year what they will do

I think Humpy has been the backbone of Lowes  Motor Speedway and yes, I agree things will be different without him..B Smith is money grubbing and wanting to move a race to Kentucky Speedway which he bought last week at the expense of Charlotte and the surrounding areas..bet Lowes will lose a race

Nascar has been hounding Humpy for years now.  It is the view of NASCAR's top dogs that Humpy hasn't spunt enough billions over the years to keep the sport in Concord.  10 years ago they wanted lights and Condo seating, he gave them condo and lights.  They wanted more grandstand area he gave them grandstand area.  Remember they were threatening to take the All-Star race away from them, for the last 3 years.  Soon as Nextel entered they wanted it in Richmond, and why?  Nextel headquarters were in Richmond of corse...

I wonder what happened to. I'm not a fan of conspiracies but Bruton Smith is trying to take over Nascar. He owns almost all of the tracks and will be more powerful than the Frances soon. It was a great race to close out a career with though.

I think Bruton Smith is going to try to take Nascar over again and Humpy didn't like what he was doing so he pushed him out and put his son there.
