What are your thoughts about Rio de Janeiro?

Is it the most beautiful city in the world?

All depends your age, status (single, married) free times and money.. there its more to Rio than Mardi Grass, but if you go to Rio and dont see the Mardi Grass, its like going to Mc Donalds and ask for pizza.

the best time its going BEFORE the mardi grass and travel around AFTER to all the other places or go to the Mardi and STAY after to tour around.Brazilian are frendly people and the girls find hard to keep their panties up when they see a foreigner.

i went there for 3 weeks and stayed more than 3 months. i was just 19...try to join brazilian chat forums and make some frends...you will need them in Rio.

Very very dangerous.  Don't go alone 3 or more is best.

Interesting vacation spot.  I want to make the trip someday.  Its very dangerous though.  You're supposed to stay with your guide pretty much all the time.  Especially if you're from America.

A good city which has developing sports competitors to the world.  People are nice and like minded.  Welfare structures are improving.   Due  to its resources it has designated as a cosmopolitan city.
