What are your thoughts of India losing the Idea Test series VS Sri Lanka 2008?

in my opinion its a normal thing for india. India always loose test series outside india. Its a habit.

SriLanka played better overall.Congrats to them.

Let them enjoy the series victory.

Indians can enjoy Abhinav Bindra's Goldfinger effort.

To be specific apart from the disappointment of the four senior batsmen(Though Dravid and Laxman were satisfactory)A.Kumble was the big let up both in his bowling and captaincy.

However India did better in the third test by fighting till the end unlike in the first test.

A..Mendis and Dammika Prasad are bound to go far.

Don't consider MSD in such pitches. Even he may fail in ODIs too in Srilankan soil. total credits go to mendis

I think there is a match fixing

Because if you remember that the sri lanka's cricket board had borrow the money from the Indian cricket board thats why they said that if you lose the matches against us the we don't have to give you much money that we have to given.

OTHERWISE NO ONE CAN DEFEAT TEAM INDIA EITHER IN TEST MATCH OR IN ONE-DAY CRICKET.......

AND YOU KNOW THAT WE ARE THE KING OF T-20 CRICKET MATCHES.

The Lankans were great! Mendis is the man who should be given the maximum credit, the mighty middle order of India was shaken all becoz of him! And then again, we saw some very good performances by Mahela, Sangakkara, Warnapuran, Samaraweera, etc...every one in the Lankan team played well! Mendis and Murali both were firing!!! Congrats Lankans!

Sad, it hurts to see indian batsmen struggling against Lankan spin and lankan batsmen playing indian spin with ease. Since India started appointing foreign coach, india's record on indian and lankan wickets has gone from best to bad. Apart from Bhaji and the old Kumble no search or efforts have been made to find a quality spinner of the class of Bedi,Prasanna,Chandra and Venkat. In the 70's and era before that there were no fast bowlers in India. Indian batsman were the best players of spin-Gavaskar, Vengsarkar,Sidhu, Vishy,young Sachin, young Ganguly,Azhar,Wadekar. When Ajit wadekar was the team manager Indian team under Azhar had a 100% success record in test series played at home. He brought Raju and Kumble in the team. The wickets were also made spin friendly , where only our spinner will excel and where only only batsmen will excel.

We need a man like Wadekar, we need spin friendly wickets(we never expect spin friendly wickets when we go abroad), we need to encourage players to take up spin bowling-maybee a spin bowling foundation analogous to MRF pace academy. The batsman has to use his feet, have good footwork, must sweep. Chandra, Prasanna, Bedi are u listening?Spin is our natural strength and it must be kept that way. We must not mind losing overseas but we must win every test match played on homeground
