  1. I think Jeff Kent is in the final stretch of his career as a Dodger and as a player.  He should thank his lucky stars that he had Barry Bonds walking in front of him all those years.  Without him, he'd be just another regular second baseman.  For him to disrespect Vin Scully is unpardonable.  Who's next on his list?  John Wooden? The Pope?  Kent has never made anyone better on his team the way both Bonds and Ramirez have made him better and that is a fact.  Being a life long Dodger fan, Vin Scully has been to the Dodgers what Chick Hearn was to the Lakers and for some mediocre, lucky to have had Bonds as a teammate (if you can call that lucky) over the hill 2nd baseman disrespect him deserves to be booed out of Los Angeles and out of baseball altogether.

  2. It just proves what an idiot Jeff Kent can be. Vin Scully is one of the most respected people in the games, his reputation is beyond reproach.

Jeff Kent comes off as an over-sensitive baby. The reason he's doing better with Manny in the lineup is that he is seeing better pitches. Nobody is saying Jeff Kent can't hit - just that he hits a lot better when he gets better pitches to hit and there's another big bat in the lineup like Barry Bonds or Manny Ramirez.

  3. Not that I had any respect for him to begin with..but I've lost all respect I could have had for him.  To say that Vin Scully talks too much is the most idiotic thing ever.  Not only is it his job..but the man is a legend. How the h**l could you be offended by the thought that Manny Ramirez has helped out your numbers offensively..of course he has..he's given you better pitches to hit.  Jeff Kent you're a moron.

  4. Jeff Kent is a very bad example of personality in baseball. Vic Scully does talk too much, but I don't like crumbs like Kent criticizing anyone.

  5. Well then Jeff Kent should stop listening to the radio.

How come one of the best announcers,Vin Scully, gets told he talks too much, while Joe Buck and Tim McCarver never get told but yet they do and 98% of the time don't even know what their saying!?

  6. Whew I thought I was overreacting when I read that comment! Vin Scully is a Hall of Fame announcer, who knows if Kent will be a Hall of Fame 2nd baseman. Besides Vinny was only telling the truth.

  7. I already had no respect for that tool.  Is it possible to have negative respect?

  8. Does Jeff Kent realize the job of an announcer IS to talk?

The fact of the matter is that Kent is seeing better pitches in front of Manny. Scully isn't the first one to notice that, it's common sense.

    Kent's acting like a princess..

  9. Jeff Kent is an idiot.

  10. Vin Scully has no respect for the game by saying what he said Jeff Kent is a model 2nd baseman I wish more people would play like he does.

  11. omg

    shoot him

    ahhhhhh

    this is terrible

    dude you know what

    the houston texans

    thats what

  12. I don't like Jeff Kent and  i think what he did was STUPID and disrespectful, Vin Scully is one of the best Announcers in his time and at the moment , and the Whole he is hitting better with Manny in the line up is TRUE
