Congrats to SL.

After SL bowlers restricted India for an cheap Indian Innings

146 all out (46.0 overs) it was a great victory for SL bowlers & batsman to win the 1st battle match, under the captincy of Jayawardene.

  1. India need to play positive cricket in remaining matches if they have to win the series else Sri Lanka will win it easily.

  9. India have every chance to win this. Our batters do not work well under pressure and we only have 6 batsmen, 2 more specialist batsmen left in the shed.

    India can take this home

    However with Mahela out there in the middle anything is possible.

    EDIT: Well they did it.

    Hats down to the batsmen, i doubted them. They did well.

  11. Brilliant all round performance from Sri Lanka, and equally pathetic performance from the Indians-both with the bat and the ball.

    Indian batting order crumbled to dust yet again, as Murli and Mendis claimed 3 wickets each. Everyone was under the impression that this young team would do something different from our experienced test squad-but no! It's the repetetion of the same batting disaster for India. Team got changed, but result remained the same! It looks like Indians are totally helpless against Mendis.

    Even India's bowling attack couldn't provide a threat to the Lankans. They have only managed to dismiss 2 of the SL batsmen so far, with Munaf Patel picking up both the wickets. Now, it looks like Sri Lanka would win by 8 wickets! Ironcially, some of the ODI batsmen felt that Mendis can be sorted out, even after watching that even the quality batsmen failed to handle his mystery in the test series.

  12. Very pathetic display from Indian batsman. Sri Lankan bowlers had just easy work at their fingures. Indian bowlers couldn't do much as there was hardly anything left for them to do. Indians will have to come back the same way they did in Galle

  13. Congratulations to Sri Lanka!!!! All the Lankan bowlers contributed and they restricted the Indians to 146. I think India will bounce back in the next match! The Indian team has always been inconsistent, they loose badly and then they bounce back in the next match! So, ALL THE BEST INDIA FOR THE NEXT MATCH!
