What are your thoughts on Betruzzi signing with Calgary?

For 1.95 it's a great signing.  The fans will hate him, but the fact is he'll be a decent replacement for Nolan, and his added grit might prove useful.  He's injury prone so there's a risk involved there, but he's apparently close with Iginla (which surprised me considering what a great guy Iggie is) so there should be some nice chemistry between them.  I'm expecting great things from the Flames this year, and my guess is they'll deliver.

It's a good pick-up for the Flames. With Nolan signing with the Wild---Bertuzzi is a nice addition.

Iginla said it best. Sounds like Iginla has an idea that Bert can help the team out so , yay. Most Flames Fans/Others are definitely letting your emotions cloud your judgement. The Flames are a better team than they were yesterday. Stop acting like children. He does wish he could take it back, people do mistakes.

For the money it was okay, essentially filling out Nolan's

role from last year. The CDN media will be all over this.

But who cares the CDN media still call the leafs a hockey team, we all know that they are a circus.

I think it is a great deal for the Flames and for him. I think he will help them out this year, they are making a lot of moves and really improving themselves. I also believe people need to get over what happened back in the day, it was an accident to hurt Moore that bad, he was just doing what any enforcer would do, especially since his coach told him to do it. He didn't try to break his neck, plus it looked to me like Moore took a bit of a fall, in the begging.

I guess I'm in the minority here, I think its too much money. I don't think his career is over but I do think he needs to prove himself and most importantly stay heathly for a year. I actaully hoped he would re-sign in Detroit for 1 mil-ish or a deal that would pay him based on games played with bonuses for performance. Give him the oppprtunity to make up to 2 or 2.5 if he plays like old Bert.

If he can actually stay healthy, it will be worth it.  I think he was the worst "rental" player the Wings ever picked up, but he was just back from injury  . . . .I wouldn't really want him, but he'll fit in on the Flames.
