It shows how his ads are upsetting Republicans as well.

Then his comment on how the ads are humorous is what upsets me. This is what he is spending public funding on?? Attack ads for humor??

I would like thoughts, whether you support a certain candidate or not.

Thank you.

  1. Call me cynical but my main thought is the Hilton's are mostly upset because Paris didn't make any money from McCain using her image.  I do think these people are that shallow.  As for McCain saying he was simply adding humor to his campaign I think that's a cop-out.  He was using these popular celebs to appeal to younger voters.

  2. Like his adds or not, they do make a point.

The Celeb ad- lets face it. The media has painted Obama as a celebrity. Who coined the phrase "The Rock Star" when referring to Obama? CNN.

Then there is "The One" ad. The one that shows Obama as a God, as a Messiah. On Obamas recent trip to Germany the German media called him just that on many occasions. The Messiah. Oprah Winfrey has repeatedly called Obama "The One".

McCains group has just used this silliness of the mainstream media acting like little school girls over this man and ran with it.

Obama is no God, Obama is no Messiah and Obama is no Rock Star or celebrity. The media-The Oprah Winfreys and CNNs of the world need to realize that and need to stop giving Obama special treatment.

  3. The cardinal rule of survival is  'Don't s**t where you eat.'  One does not try to gain votes by insulting one's support base.  Paris Hilton, regardless of one's assesment of her value upon this planet, is the offspring of a very wealthy and influential Republican family.  They are also part of the staunch support base and have and probably intended to make more contributions to their favored candidate.

To further insult one's support base by dismissing it as 'humor' and accusing the other of lacking a 'sense of humor' simply is evidence of the candidate's inability to do the job for which he is now seeking votes.   Admittedly lack of intellectual prowess and social finesse has worked to his predecessor's advantage.  He was voted in not once but twice.  I doubt however, that a 70 year old can swagger into office as easily.

  4. Who is Kathy Hilton?

  5. How can anything McCain does possibly upset you?Paris Hilton is so hot she melts my pants.Kathy Hilton is a dried up old maid who cares what she thinks?

  6. A feeble attempt at humor.  Humor is not the Republican's strong suit.

  7. Kathy Hilton? You mean the woman that raised and gave the world Paris Hilton? How could anything she has to say mean anything?

As for the ad, it just appears like a sad attempt to avoid any issues and appeal to a simple minded public. It's pretty insulting to everybody.

  8. I think John McCain was trying to make a point that Obama was famous for being famous - like Paris is.

Paris cannot be mad at any part of the media - she's a p**n star, accomplished red carpet walker and drunk driver - all before she hit 25.

She's a joke - even if she doesn't get it.

  9. republicans are not known for their humor.
