  1. An unsuccessful experiment, and a Utopian philosophy which bears no resemblance to real life.  Read "Animal Farm" by George Orwell--"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others".

  2. communism was a natural step in the human thought development in response to aggressiveness of capitalism. it is a theory - in reality it never been achieved anywhere.

WHY it didn't or doesn't work - is another matter. but it provides certain contribution into the evolution of social system. like, if there was no attempts  towards communism in past 2 centuries - who knows, what ugly forms present capitalism would take?

in fact - what is called "Democracy" (although it is very arguable matter in itself - there is NO any REAL democracy anywhere either) nowadays I bet won't be even approached what to say accomplished - if there was no huge polar alternative to the capitalism, represented by countries with communist orientation.

many modern thinkers predict that the next step would be something middle between modern capitalism (present version of "Democracy" with its "market economy") and Socialism.

  3. Nice idea, but it doesn't work. People are lazy and selfish by nature.

  4. it does not appear to work.

russia was a small segment of the power people getting all the goods.

  5. My Thoughts On Communism:

I think that my neighbor should have to share his jacuzzi.

    The End.

  6. It's a nice idea, but like mentiod in the above comments, it won't properly work. Human nature is just so that there will always be those looking for more power.

Saying we try an elaborate experiment. Put a bunch of hippies on an island. You know peace and love, equality for all. Say it works for awhile. There will still be situations. Someone will become the most popular, and naturally gain  more power because of it. Crime will happen, and a justice system will need to be decided, futher skewing the power balance. Jealously will come up, and arguements will need mediators, who will naturally gain more power because of this. Individuals with power will naturally want just a little bit more, and those without will always want that power.

Communism is a nice story, but human nature just doens't allow it.

  7. Its a good idea in theory, bad in practice.
