  1. were all gonna die but at least not in my life time

  2. I think its sad to see the ice melt cuz of all the animals dying. This one polar bear moved like a mile away from his home to get food, when he came back, it melted and he went looking for it. It ended up that he drowned in the arctic ocean cuz theres too much water and not enough ice. You should watch Algore's long lecture on global warming.

  3. I'll let you know after I've hugged this tree.

  4. WE'RE GONNA DIE! WATER WILL DROWN US!

  5. Its a natural process. let it be.

  6. Al Gore invented ice

  7. i believe that it is'nt all our fault. Though there are many things that we could improve on. The world governments know how to produce electric cars and clean stuff like that cheaply but wont do coz they're making billions off the oil market. Is it really worth it???

  8. If you read the same article I did, then it mentions that ice level on the peninsula haven't been this low in several hundred years, but also states that it is proof of global warming. That makes it a bit contradictory don't you think? If it has happened before and more recently than 1000 years ago, does that not make it a natural although unusual event. It sounds more like a localized phenomenon and proves global warming no more than a cold winter in the mid west disproves it.

  9. Ice melts, ice forms. Has been happening since the earth formed (not really true as much of the planets history has been ice free).

I would much rather live in a warmer climate than have a mile high glacier over me. But imagine the stories to tell your great-great-great-great grand kids, "Billy, I used to have to scale a mile high sheet of ice to go to school."

  10. its a nutural occurance due to boiological organizums exhaling co2

  11. not cool

  12. It's natural! Don't worry about it!

To "Jack B". Are you suggesting that George Bush (or any living organism) should try to stop the natural melting of water?

The Earth has gone through so many things in th billions of years its existed. Who honestly thinks that humans who have been around for a small speck of that time can stop natural cycles? We can influence it yes, but never stop it.

  13. my thoughts are quite scary thinking of us as drowning

  14. People need to take it more seriously.

Alot is due to the vehicles we use today, which pollute our air. Most of the pollution can also cause cancer from the fumes. Thats what they believe is the cause of my friend's mother right now.

Also its from cutting down so many trees, soon when the trees are all gone and theres no oxygen and we die I hope people see how they screwed themselves over.

Everyone thinks oxygen supply will never end, but eventually itll have to if we dont have something to trade the CO2 with.

And another thing, people think that its crowded every where around the world now and how populations are increasing? Well they should picture how much land will be under water soon since the ocean level keeps rising. Itll be even more crowded!

  15. iit's a scam, a volcano does more for global warming than we could do in years.,it is a repeating process-cool to warm and back

Narciska-I'm glad you take the Subway, it sure is cool that subways don't use energy......It doesnt matter what mode you take unless you walk you contribute to energy waste and Al Gore wants you dead!!!!!!

I do beleive we can be better stewards to our environment, ride share when possible, use energy efficient bulbs, etc. anything to reduce polution and make breathing better, but as for gloabl warming....it's a way to sell DVD's and books

  16. Who said global warming is responsible for that? There is no global warming! It's ice.. it melts! good job.

  17. I dont know how people can be so laid back about it and not be concerned - the ice melts results in sea levels rising equalling land flooded! Disaster!!!

And how can you not feel sorry for animals like polar bears who will be forced to venture into mans territory more and more in search of food and will innevitavly be shot dead. Ok maybe comparatively thats only a small issue for some but it shows that this is going to have an impact big or small on so many things.

There doesnt appear to be any positives to the ice melting at all.  Enlighten me?

  18. The earth goes through cycles of warming and cooling and this is a natural process.  We're actually in between ice ages.  Global warming occurred naturally with the gases released from the volcanic eruptions in the past just at is occurs now.

  19. Ummmmm, that it is melting????  How am I supposed to answer this?   It sucks that it's melting?  Maybe it was melting years ago but we just never paid attention before.  What do you think about the fact that it's Spring and it's also snowing all over the US?  Doesn't sound like heat to me......

  20. who knows for sure if there even IS global warming?  i mean yeah, we should still reduce pullution and all, but temperatures are only ONE DEGREE higher than they ever have been in the last one hundered years.  personally, im not really worrid about global warming YET.  if temperatures start to rise a LOT, then ill be worried.  and i dont really see how a difference of one degree could melt that much ice.

  21. Al Gore's right ... but i dont think we can stop the melting... its enevitable they were going to melt any wayz, were still coming out of an ice age, but yah we make it alot worse, and now its to late to fix it, u cant end polution over night or over a few years, if we start now and do every thing we can we can prolong the effects, hopefully long enough to allow animals to adapt, prevent an ice age and keep coasts from flash floods

  22. I think there is some merit to it - but not to the degree that the hypocritical waste to society Al Gore thinks it is.

  23. its just normal.

  24. That this change to our climate and environment is going to take place within our lifetime.

  25. If you ever watch discovery channel it tells you how the temps change all the time over the years..sometimes it get warmer..sometimes cooler... I dont think we will all melt away

  26. it's just massive number of penguins doing happy feet dancing that caused the ice broken.

  27. Its the natural history of the earth.  We came we saw we conquered, then we were conquered,  its time for the planet to reclaim itself.  Humans dont deserve it anymore, alls we do is strip it down and destroy it.

  28. The people below are correct that melting of ice is a natural process that is a natural cycle, unfortunately the melting of polar ice caps and heating of the earth is extremely rapid. The rate at which the earth is heating and the ice is melting is not normal or a part of the natural progression of things. I am a environmentalist but I also know that economy and money will

always be important to people. We cannot get rid of cars the American economy is built on cars and our ability and sheer need to commute. What we can do is set some reasonable limits on emissions , and get car manufactures to give us fuel efficient cars and save us on the gas money. There is no way that the amount of carbon dioxide we put into the atmosphere , and mass deforestation has not affected the earths temperature. However , at what rate and how bad it is , is a matter of opinion.

Everyone has something to gain from Global warming and everyone has something to lose. Al Gore may be a little extreme for some , but at least he is out there trying to make the world a better place. I don't like a lot of the conservative leaders and voices but i listen to them often and find some validity in what they say. I wish that environmentalism had not been perverted by smelly hippies because then more conservative people would be open to some change.

It is worth looking into but remember to keep an open mind!

  29. It's just nature going thru it's normal cycles.

  30. down with SUV's!

Chuck Norris's tears cure cancer!!!!!! too bad he vever cries......

    haha =]

back to global warming..... It's real people!! generations to come are going to be in big trouble if our generations don't start taking it seriously and learning how to help. There are so many little things to do... if everybody in the world did them, it would add up and help A LOT

  31. It is summertime there.
