What are your thoughts on nascar driver Travis Kvapil?

I love Travis Kvapil.  I love to say his name.  I made a Travis Kvapil shirt to wear at MIS because, hey... he needs love too.  I know he drives in the truck series... I do think he's done well (for him) this year, and I don't know what his plans are for next year.  Go Travis!!!

got me 13th or 14th last week in michigan.  probably not going to take him for bristol.  overall a good truck series driver and improving quite well this year with what he has to work with.

He comes from Janesville, WI and is 32 years old. He drives for Yates in the Spint Cup Series and part-time for Roush/Fenway in the Craftsman Truck Series.

He hasn't had much success in the Race for the Cup (3 Top 10 finishes in 23 races) which may explain why he's had trouble securing full-time sponsorship. I suppose his plans for next year would be to secure a ride and find a sponsor.

He surpassed my expectations for this year by a longshot, in fact, that whole organization did. I though both teams would be out of the top 35 and Yates would have to close down but they proved me wrong. There was a time when he was contending for a Chase spot. Good for them to get their act together.

I believe this is his 2nd time around in Cup.  He ran in the trucks for awhile too.  He has done very good this year considering he is driving an unsponsored car.  I hope that Yates can get him sponsored soon so he can continue to run next year.

i think he has done very well considering the fact that he doesn't have a full-time sponsorship and he will probaly be staying with Yates Racing for next year

I really like him. He is a great person, very nice to the fans. I think he is doing pretty good, considering his team and all that. I love Yates, but they haven't been that good lately. He's had a few good finished though, just like his teammate, David Gilliland. If he had better equipment, I am sure he'd be better. He will stay there next year. I watched him in the truck series, cuz he drove for Roush, and I like them. I was happy for him that he got a ride with Yates.

Travis Kvapil was my favorite driver in the Truck series last year... although I always had problems pronouncing his name!  I think he's done fair this year... it's a shame he wasn't eligible for Raybestos Rookie of the Year because of a past trial in Cup.  As far as I know, he's staying with Yates.

He's not a "bad" driver. He has some good days and some bad. Another example of a guy who would do better with better equipment.
