  1. i think villa are to blame because they could have settled this debate about 3 weeks ago when lfc offered 15 mill. they knew he wanted to move-on, but were determined to drag every last penny out of liverpool.

now 3 weeks later they have`nt signed enough players to strengthen their already small squad so MON comes out in the press and blames lfc because of there shortcomings in the transfer-market! If liverpool don`t think Barry is worth 18 mill they wont be held to ransom by villa, they will just wait until January and offer 8 mill instead.

  2. ▫▫Well Is He Staying Or Is He Going?▫▫

  3. It certainly dragged on.  It probably left a lot of Villa fans some bad feelings towards Barry as he seemed pretty adament that he wanted to leave.

  4. I would love to see Barry at Liverpool but he has willingly signed a contract. If Villa want to hold him to it then that is their right. Some people might call it slavery but it seems quite reasonable to me.

Our consolation is that he will be a bit cheaper in January and cheaper still next summer. It ain't over yet.

  5. is it just to put a player off his game as the same thing is happening to Ronaldo at man utd

  6. If he comes to Liverpool then we will welcome him and support him. But I'm not sure we really need him, I want Alonso to stay.  He should stay with Villa, the fans want him to stay. They need him.

  7. To be honest; I don't think Liverpool have done anything wrong with trying to sign Barry; Martin O'Neill has just basically thrown a tantrum that a top four club is trying to steal one of his most prized players.

At this time; I don't think Liverpool will care about signing him anymore; I think most fans are still ecstatic about Keane's arrival, so if Barry were to go, I'm guessing it would be to Arsenal (I doubt that Wenger would go anywhere near the £18 mil valuation though). His depature does seem likely since the reception he got at a pre season friendly.

Whatever distracts people from the Ronaldo saga....>.<

  8. Barry is wrong for being disloyal and airing his desire to leave publicly. martin o'neil is right to punish him to make him understand when you cross the line, there are repercussions. liverpool are stupid because really they can easily afford £18m. they are one of the richest teams in the league.
