The one with Obama and his wife, Michelle. Personally, I think it's obvious satire. What are your thoughts?

  1. I really don't like it. I know it's supposed to be a satire, but it's not funny and it could have negative effects on the American public. For people who already think Obama is a Muslim, this will be the last straw for them and will affect how people see him. The people who immediately recognize that it is a parody are the ones who are already going to vote for Obama anyway. The cartoon is in poor taste and I think the New Yorker made a really bad call.

  2. Sure it was satire, but it sure struck a cord with the Obama's.  They're acting almost like they have a guilty conscience

  3. It is fairly obvious satire, but nevertheless passersby who see the cover on the shelves of newstands will take it at face value, not as the political satire which reveals itself upon closer examination.  The only effect it will have will be to bring to attention the fears which it seeks to mock.
