  1. Well, here in Argentina the only depiction of a foreign nation player focused by the camera is in one commercial where a girl is about to get a shot of flu medicine, and she says "im a puma, im a puma, im a puma", to remind herself its not going to hurt then some more "im a puma" situations, and then an irish running with the ball and saying "im a puma, im a puma im a puma" and gets tackled badly (by a puma)

Its normal for a country to show their team in their commercial.

  2. did you know that 75.117% of statistics are made up on the spot?

  3. There's no question the New Zealand media are nationalistic - what country's media are not!?

I'd go even further and say that the NZ media has emphasised the positive contribution in the RWC 2007 of our south seas neighbours Tonga, Fiji and Samoa.

I'd also say that that the NZ media has emphasised the poor contribution in the RWC 2007 of the original 5 nations teams: France, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

Read into this what you like, but you can't argue against it.

In terms of the NZ media's perspective - I'd say they are giving a fairly honest account of the All Blacks campaign. There's been no hiding from the fact that it's been an easy run against inferior teams so far. There's been an open acknowledgement of the fact that we are desperate to win after 4 failed campaigns, and that the public expectations are enormous.

What I have also noticed is that they have given little attention to the 2 other major players so far - neither being particularly critical of them or building them up too much. Australia seem to be flying under the radar (as usual) and the Sth Africans (who in my opinion are building up nicely) have received little attention.

  4. For Le Pork....oops I am sorry...of course I meant to type "Le Porc", the first responder to this question....I would wonder why you are here on the Rugby category if you hate it so much.  Could it be you are looking for the g**s and Lesbians you say are involved in Rugby?  Shouldnt you be on another site dear?  Like say Homosexual wants to meet friend?  or something.

  5. I wasn't aware the media was Nationalistic towards NZ? Unless that is, you are in NZ and then it would be Nationalistic because thats the Nation they are reporting from.

As for NZ press coverage within NZ? Well I am sick of Frank Bunce officiating over the games. He cant decide whether he is still playing for Samoa or NZ.

AB's are doing fine, they are well prepared and will never be in better shape to lift  the cup. If everyone stopped bagging them and got behind them, we would all be better off.

  6. Good job I say.  I'd much rather eat my own c**p and drink my own p**s than have NZ's media focus on Englands or Australia's rugby team.

  7. when was the last time new zealand even won the world cup??????????????

i know. its hard to remember.

anyways. new zealand rugby team and its supporters are always hyped up bout winning. they usully lead the points table before succumbing to AUSTRALIA in the world cup.

all the best this time around.
