Do you prefer it for a girl or a boy?

Is it too common?

If used for a boy, would it sound too girly?

  1. I knew a boynamed Jordan when I was in middle school and my son had a friend named Jordan.  I think it's cute for either, but I think I would chose it for a girl.  And possibly spell it as Jordyn......maybe.  Or make it more feminine by changing it to Jordana (love it!)

  2. I associate Jordan with biblical thoughts. It's awesome with girls and boy's name.

  3. I think it's a very masculine name and personally don't care for it on a little girl. My partner's name is Jordon- this spelling seems to 'butch' it up a little more! I think it's a gorgeous name and he's never had any issues with it either :]

  4. For a girl I love it

  5. I think of it as a boy name but I don't think it's girly. I like both actually!

  6. My black nephew has the name Jordan.  His father named him after the NBA Star Michael Jordan.  You will find that many boys have that name for that reason.  However, I feel it is more of a girls name.  If I have to again choose another baby name, I would not choose a name like Jordan because it would set my child up for future discomfort with being bullied.  His friends would tell him he has a girl's name or she would be told that she has a boy's name.  There are so many names to choose from.  It is not worth the risk.

  7. I LIKE IT FOR BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS.

I KNOW A GIRL NAMED JORDAN AND I  WENT WITH A BOY NAMED JORDAN.

    I THINK IT'S CUTER FOR A BOY.

  8. I'd prefer it for a girl because it won't sound too common. But if you used it for a boy, it would sound common.

  9. I like it for a boy. But I know both boys and girls who have the name.

  10. I prefer it for a girl (Jordyn) but it's not one of my favorite names.  It's been common for quite a while.
