Do you think its something to worry about?

Esecially with USA and everything demanding Russia retreat from Georgia.

My first thoughts when i heard this was- "Bahaha, World War 3. Woah my god."

Anyway, what do you think about it?

Raa.

  1. It was a show of force. This told U.S. that the "bear" (military power of Russia) has been back.

However, this is the Russian negative thinking. It should learn about diplomacy.

In addition, this also indicated the failure of U.N. It should be extended to include the International Court which can based on international law to settle conflict among nations.

  2. Well as a retired Special Forces soldier I see it two fold.Georgia should not murdered all those pilgrims cutting across their border. On the other hand Russia is using that as an excuse to secure the oil,and natural gas pipelines. The Uniteed Nations need in this not just the USA we have other matters of grave concern.Iran is trying desperately to secure a nuke. Why?Never fear the man who wants 10 nukes, only the one who wants one!Honey WW3 is around the corner ,they are already planting our feet in a foot hold so we can try and keep those idiots from aiming a missle that we can't shoot down at us.Don't worry America always has an ace up its sleeve! We will be fine.

  3. Russia should reply: Dismantle your military first.

  4. The same world war 3 idea went through my head too! Great minds think alike huh?

In reality though, I think the odds of that are slim. Just yesterday the whitehouse said there's no chance that they'll be sending troops. This doesn't mean that they won't try some covert ops to try and help Georgia and they have been sending aid but I'm confident things wont blow up in our faces.

  5. I wasn't even really acutely aware that Georgia existed other than a United State, so I guess it wouldn't make a big diff. to me personally.

  6. 1) South Ossetia has been functionally independent for years

    2) Russia has been supporting South Ossetia separatist for almost as long.

    3) Georgia put troops into South Ossetia to reassert power

    4) Russia went in to help the South Ossetia separatist.

    5) Bush blames Russia as the aggressor

But thankfully Bush has sufficiently depleted America's treasury so he can't afford to fight another war. So this won't reach world war 3
