  1. My thoughts on the video....its a scare tactic, could of been done better, and like the person above me said...boring

  2. I like how it includes the factors most influential on oil prices.  CO2 production from fossil fuels is missing (a huge contributor to the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere).  It deals explicitly with price and ignores CO2 emissions.

The biofuel thing is a little unclear.  Corn has use in biofuel has increased and will cause price increase in meat, chicken, and all products that use corn (this is true), but it has nothing to do with the rice shortage (corn can't be grow in areas suitable for rice - to wet).  The rioting in those countries is from rice shortages, not corn.

The weather has been erratic which is consistent with AGW and can cause food shortages (as can using corn for biofuels), but fossil fuel combustion is the major culprit in AGW.  In the video, it appears that biofuels are a major cause of droughts, floods, food shortages - not true. Most of the CO2 in the air is from fossil fuels.  We should be shifting away from fossil fuel use to biofuels and flow resources (sun and wind) as much as possible.  More research can be done on alternative methods for making biofuels (switchgrass, wood, garbage, etc).

It bites off a little to much to deal with in the short segment and is a little misleading. I think they  need to refine their message a little.

I didn't catch what the purpose of the clip was.  Just not clear to me.

  3. Its a scare tactic to play off peoples fear and offers no solutions but assigns blame.  I would rather see videos offering real solutions anyone can blame others that is not creative or original.

It was a boring video felt like it was never going to end.

  4. Bit boring really....

No new info, no conclusions, slightly alarming without giving constructive solutions.

I guess if you haven't read a newspaper in the past year and need your information in sound bites then it's a good primer.

And although it is basically a 4 minute advertising blurb, at least what it is advertising has some ethical credentials and useful info.
