I would give up K-Rod

I would receive Ben Sheets and Takashi Saito

I have a need for starting pitching and my other 2 closers are Rivera and Fuentes. There are also other decent closing options available in free agency.

he also has Bedard. Should i try to get Bedard instead of Sheets?

  1. Go with what you have.

  2. If you have a need for SP, Milwaukee's Ben Sheets is a good selection.  Sheets is 6-1 with a 2.62 ERA this season, not bad at all for a SP, better than most probably available in free agency.  The trade basically comes down to Takashi Saito (LAD) for Francisco Rodriguez (LAA).  Saito is 3-2, 2.03 ERA  and 8 saves, if you have Mariano Rivera and Brian Fuentes, Saito could be a nice option when those two have off days.  Saito is also averaging over one strikeout per inning pitched.  Rodriguez is 0-1 with a 2.17 ERA but has 26 saves.  If saves are not an issue with your roster, Do the trade, Sheets can help your starters and Saito, while his saves aren't as high as Rodriguez still offers you a solid RP.

  3. Get Sheets or Bedard.  Sheets and Bedard are both health risks.  Bedard may have been a one-year wonder.  However, they may also be aces when right.  An ace starter is better than any closer.  Saves come cheap and they are only one category.  Bolster that rotation!

  4. Do it.  Sheets, not Bedard check the stats.

  5. I would do it. Saito is a pretty good closer and sheets has been looking pretty good this year. If you need K's, try to get Bedard instead but if you are ok there i would stick with sheets. BTW i have K-Rod also and I would do this trade if it was offered to me.
