  1. I agree. For an example, there are people who are 'experts' at judging others but they can't take it when others do the same to them! It has to do with pride, but don't tell them - they can't take that, either!

  2. It's because many people think they are too superior and too powerful to sit and follow the "do to others as you would have them do to you" saying. And they also got self-esteem issues.

  3. Sorry, I dont really understand your question, but I do understand the saying.  I means that a person is quick to criticize and ridicule others, but gets VERY offended when they themselves are criticized.  This kind of person usually has a big mouth and an even bigger ego.  I avoid them if I can.

  4. I think im bored so much that i actually read this.

  5. I know lots of people like that. Pretty sad actually.

They can throw out sarcasm all day long or be mean but don't you dare do it to them. Childish & Immature in my opinion.

  6. welcome to society,

the world is full of cocky people nowadays that can't back themselves up.

everyone travels in packs, so instead of having 1 enemy you have many.

like a kid at my school,

he was talking all badass and stuff,

some guy punched him in the face and knocked him down,

the kid started crying and calling for his friends to beat up the kid.

    they just laughed at him.

    carma i swear.

    lol

  7. Ughhh! Peopel are always like that! I agree.but i think everyone is like giving out and not taking it! U know...like in a fight they will be all up in ur face but  u say one word and they r like....How dare u ur so mean! Whateve. :) or :(

  8. hmm... well it makes sense and i agree with it. if someone is constantly bugging you or saying hurtful things and then you counter and say something hurtful (which btw doesn't make it right) if that person gets angry at you you can say that. i hate people that can act a certain way but when acted to by someone else they freak out.... pet peeve!!

  9. yeah its my husband he yells and screams at everyone because no one supposedly can make mistakes and when he screws up he can't accept the same criticism

  10. yep, a wise of saying.

  11. ..that came out of nowhere?

  12. I dont, whatever i say, i can handle it being said to myself.

  13. Yes, I know people like that.

  14. Ya, it's common practice for ppl to 'dish it out, and not want to take it'. That's where 'Tuff luck' comes in. o_O

  15. ok, that has to be applied to a situation before you can agree with it.

  16. yes, i agree it means you can do bad things to others but you cant take the pain when it happens to you

  17. Almost all bully's fall under the truth of this saying. That is why they hide behind Mommy's skirt, or a larger group, or the anonymity of the Internet.

  18. Applies to most people. As for me, well, I can dish it out and I can ignore it...

  19. i agree with itsnotezbeinggrn.  two points :D

  20. I used it often as a young girl when we sisters were trying to get a point over and start arguing. But my dad, would end it by making us hug and kiss each, and this would be more punishment at the time ,than a spanking, So, oh yes. I relate to this saying.very, very well.

  21. i dont know, why are you asking me?

  22. For me dishing it out would most likely mean, Giving it your all or revealing something in you.

Take it in would mean getting back or absorbing.

It can work in a negative form as Talking about people but getting mad when they talk about you.

  23. opposite of humility.  as for me. if i dish it out,id better be willing to take it.

  24. i was thinking about this the other day, that's funny.

but in the form of "do as i say, not as i do"

same as the pot calling the kettle black.

    i believe in it 100%

  25. nope;not for me,I can take anything...

  26. pretty true
